Overview
Glide along Oʻahu's south shore in a fully transparent kayak and watch honu (sea turtles), rays, and reef fish drift right beneath your seat. This self-guided 2-hour rental launches from the calm, reef-protected waters of the Ala Moana / Waikiki corridor — with panoramic views of Diamond Head and the Waikiki skyline as your backdrop. Each booking covers up to 4 paddlers across 2 clear tandem kayaks, with paddles, U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets, a dry bag, and a waterproof phone case so you can capture every moment. Choose afternoon, golden-hour, or sunset launch slots. Best for couples, families with kids 8+, photographers, and travelers comfortable around the water — some paddling experience is helpful, and your Adventure Guide will cover the basics at launch.

Itinerary
During your self-guided clear kayak rental at Fort De Russy Beach in Waikiki, you’ll paddle along the inside of the reef shelf while enjoying views of Diamond Head, Waikiki, and the Honolulu coastline.
After meeting our team near the public restroom at the beach end of Paoa Place, you’ll receive your kayak, gear, life jacket, safety briefing, and route instructions before launching.
Guests must stay within the approved paddle area, avoid the reef, stay out of the channel, and not enter Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon.
Life jackets are required at all times while on the water.
You may spot Hawaiian green sea turtles, rays, fish, or other marine life.
All wildlife must be viewed from a safe distance with no touching, chasing, feeding, or approaching.
Please bring water, a towel, and clothes you do not mind getting wet.
For sun protection, we recommend mineral-based, reef-safe sunscreen such as non-nano zinc oxide, plus a hat, sunglasses, or UPF clothing.
Dry bags and waterproof phone cases are included, but we recommend leaving valuables behind.
This beginner-friendly rental is perfect for couples, families, and travelers looking for a unique way to experience Waikiki from the water.
