Home to vibrant corals, tropical fish, and our beloved Hawaiian green sea turtle, Hilo is not a sight to be missed. All necessary equipment and roundtrip transport from your Hilo hotel or cruise port are included. Note a scuba certification is required to participate.

If you have come to Hawaii to enjoy diving along the lush and iconic East Hawaiian coast, this is the excursion for you! Guided by local, experienced dive professionals, your tour departs in the morning just a few miles from where your breathtaking dive site resides. After a safety briefing and review of the creatures likely to be encountered, enjoy a non-taxing tour of the underwater wonders near Hilo. The waters around Hilo are especially unique as the cool fresh water springs that enter the sea along the coast regulates ocean temperatures and prevents coral bleaching. Hilo’s coastline is renowned for its brackish waters and abundant sea turtle population and beautiful coral as well as a wealth of marine diversity including octopus, varied manta rays, eels and tropical reef fish. Your dive master will guide you on an incredible journey through the abundance of sea life and will ensure you have a fun and memorable experience. - This tour is not suitable for children under the age of 10. Certified Junior Divers are permitted on this tour however all Certified Junior Divers who will not be accompanied by an adult must contact Hilo Ocean Adventures prior to booking for special consideration.
- Trip is not suitable for pregnant women, people with heart conditions, neck or back problems
- This tour requires that your last logged dive be within the last 2 years. If your last logged dive is longer than 2 years ago please book the pricing option that includes the refresher course.
- Please consider your other travel plans as it is a safety requirement that you do NOT travel to altitudes of 2500 ft or higher within an 18 hour period following your dive
- All divers must be able to show proof of Open Water Diver certification or higher upon check-in.
