This was a beautiful home & was a great size for our family of 9. We loved the pool & easy access to the beach. We saw lots of sea turtles every day.Wonderful week of family time on a beautiful island
Stayed here with three generations of my family and it was the best week we have spent together; being here was all that we hoped for and more. The house is the most beautiful I have ever been in, and I have been very fortunate to be in quite a few spectacular houses; and, location, location, location. I think this area is one of the most outstanding in all the Islands. Moreover, this is clearly a well loved and cared for HOME. The artwork is so tasteful and fitting to the house and the Big Island. The kitchen is amazing, so spacious, well equipped and generously stocked with condiments, herbs, and even a large assortment of alcoholic drinks. Our granddaughters lived in the salt water pool and the sacred "Queens Pool" in the reef off the beach of the property. There were kayaks, paddle boards, boogie boards and snorkeling gear to use. Being there is having your own private resort.Though it may be pricier than some other houses to rent, I definitely feel we got what we paid for. It was money well spent. We look forward to returning to Michele and Gordon's refuge.
The property is absolutely amazing between the house, the pool and the beach! Amazing views and walking the beach you always experience wildlife (e.g. turtles!!!). Nathalie the Property Manager was amazing in helping us not just with the house but also helped us build our agenda of activities, book excursions and stock the house - Nathalie rocks! Highly recommend this amazing property for your stay on the Big Island!
We had our family reunion at this property. What a beautiful place to stay! Everything was perfect and we had a wonderful vacation!
I have stayed here years ago and it was always a wonderful experience. The 2wks went by in a flash. The only time we ventured out was to play golf and we also had an epic day of fishing. We love the fact that you never have to leave once you visit the grocery store. The owners Michelle and Gordan were wonderful.
A perfect place for a family vacation. Beautiful property in a great location and enjoyed by all ages.
The beach was our favorite part. We saw crab, manta, whales and dozens of birds.
Six women - grandmother, 2 daughters. three 30-something granddaughters spent a week in this spacious open-to- the-world house. Walk out from first floor bedroom onto deck of infinity pool, edge often lined with colorful birds drinking and bathing. Better still, down 8 steps, across a patch of grass onto beach and into the sea, home to local turtles. No problem here for 90 year old with bad knees. Four big bedrooms, tv room makes adequate bedroom for kids or adult who wants to be outside all day anyway. House front opens almost completely to the ocean and we never closed those big shutters, night nor day in mid April. Owners keep bugs away for the most part by spraying when we weren't there. Current concierge Nathalie a gem of helpfulness. We splurged extra on chef Rio for 4 nights of sunset drinks on beach and candlelit dinners on porch. Could we nit-pick things like a deck too hot to navigate without shoes? We weren't looking for 5 star elegance; we wanted and GOT a 5 star experience!
This was our fourth visit to the house and first time with the new owners. We were glad to see all the old charms remain and everything has been kept in good condition. The yard felt more open and spacious with some of the foliage trimmed back, so our boys were able to enjoy a lot of soccer and frisbee.
The well-stocked kitchen is huge and was able to accommodate all our cooking.
We always talk about taking excursions on the Big Island, but once we're there, the house is so wonderful, we never want to leave.
This home is beautiful, spacious, incredibly well equipped, location right on the ocean, whales sited everyday, gorgeous sunsets. Not sure the home could be better.
