It is also a short walk to Fort DeRussy Beach Park, Hilton Hawaiian Village, Ala Wai Canal and more.
This remodeled, modern studio offers city and canal views and sleeps 3. This unit is located on the 18th floor.

BUILDING AMENITIES
The Hawaiian Monarch building offers upgraded amenities such as a giant sundeck, pool and hot tub ( no fee). There was no resort fee for this studio.
Paid fitness center (one-time nominal fee $5.00), paid luggage storage (one-time nominal fee), paid laundry (nominal fee). The building lobby levels also have a locally-owned coffee shop, car rental, King’s (bar), convenience store and restaurant (Burger & Sushi). Building has 24/7 security, elevators and attached, secured garage.
Gym located on Lower Level (LL) and Security sets up your pass on Lower level, $5.00 US for your entire stay, 6th floor salt water pool/Jacuzzi, BBQ deck area, located on 5th Floor (cards only)Laundry room(no cash), Rent a Car on Lobby level as well as Coffee/Bakery, Golden Pond convenience store, and Cream Pot (one of my favorites for breakfast/brunch!) to experience.
-The Building is 24/7 security controlled in all areas for your peace of mind.
-Luggage can be securely held by Security Office (Flat rate $5/luggage) til checkin or late checkout can hold before departure.
Large laundry (credit card/no cash) feature is located on 5th floor, Pool deck, BBQ, Hot-tub on 6th floor.
-All Building amenities except for front desk. No front desk checkin. Self check and a grab key in lockbox.

This Hawaiian Monarch property is located at 444 Niu St. Pull into the first driveway on Niu St with the red curb to be dropped off and/or grab keys from the lockboxes before parking. Please note this property does come with parking. The parking garage is about 8 minutes walk from this studio. Also accessible by uber, lyft or cab from airport.

The place was in a great location just outside of the main busy Waikiki area. Check in and out was easy. We liked using the lockbox as our flights were late at night and early in the morning. We appreciated having a free parking spot just a short walk from the property. We would recommend staying at this place.

Great location in the beginning of Waikiki, walking distance to Ala Moana. Did enjoy the food trucks..the place is good for 2 ppl only and it worked for my husband and I. We stayed out all day and it’s worth it being that the condo is located in the beginning..

We were happy and enjoyed our stay in Michelle's place, though it is tiny but clean, it would be perfect for two people. Parking pass is a bonus if you rent a car, and parkade is within walking distance. Very convienent location. Michelle responded to our message very quickly.

This studio apartment was ideal for the vacation that my wife and I planned. We stayed for 12 nights. The first few days we did activities in the Waikiki area that were within walking distance.
I don't know if this option will be available in the future, but Michelle provided a parking pass at Fort DeRussy, which was a nice plus.
The building is an old hotel, and apparently many (most?) of the rooms are booked through the hotel. It is against the Ala Wai Canal, which is nice for running or walking without dealing with traffic. We walked often to the beach (15 minutes) and ran to Diamond Head (approx 3 miles to the entrance). There is a grocery store a 5 min walk away.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable. For a small kitchenette (microwave, hot plate, mini fridge), it was well equipped.

Communication with the host was great. The parking is a bit of a walk, so make sure you account for that with your timing and don't forget anything in your car :-)

Had a great stay during my trip to recently.
Pros:
The room was exactly as described and represented in the pictures.
It is within a quick walk to the Waikiki brewery, so that was a nice surprise. And a 20 minute or so walk away from Waikiki beach.
The parking was a tad inconvenient, but I got used to it very quickly. It takes about 10-12 minutes to walk back and forth, but finding a place with included parking in Honolulu is very difficult.
Cons:
The pillows were super soft. I had a hard time getting a good nights sleep. If you need a firm pillow like myself, bring your own.
The hot water went out on my last day while taking my shower. Not sure what happened, and that is not the fault of the renter, just letting you know it may happen.
Overall:
I would stay here again!

The studio is located in the Waikiki Monarch hotel building on the 18th. Everything as described, 10min walk to Waikiki beach. Access to a pool and 2 jacuzui as well as a bbq area on the 6th floor. 7/11, laundry service and food truck park just around the building. Really enjoyed our stay in this studio.
