Clean, cozy and spacious property with everything you could need! The pool was great and the hot tub was a nice feature after a long day of hiking. We enjoyed the location as the neighborhood was great and close to all Princeville/Hanalei has to offer. Beds were very comfortable and you could tell this property is well cared for and properly maintained. Property manager was helpful with any questions about the area as well. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic vacation for 11 nights! The house is great, pool is super and Samantha was very accommodating with any questions or needs we had. Nice neighborhood, view of the ocean from the pool, orange trees in the yard and overall a great place to relax! Thanks Samantha!

This property allowed our whole family to spread out with 3 bedrooms 2 baths and multiple living rooms. Nice view of the ocean, no beach access. Hot tub was great. Pool was cold. Location is great for seeing sites on the north and east side of Kauai. The neighborhood is nice and safe and a quick drive to beaches, shopping and restaurants. Full kitchen and washer dryer. The owner was great, great communication, easy check in/check out process and introduced us to a woman that books events in the island. Things book up quickly during busy season like Christmas and spring break. Book ahead of your trip. Only negatives are that the House does not have air conditioning and the beds are very hard. Master bath does not have its own door.

We had an amazing time here. Whether hanging at the house and enjoying the pool, hot tub, and the indoor space, or out recreating all over the island, we relaxed and enjoyed the perfect launch pad for exploring Kauai. The owners are very thorough, responsive, and attentive.

Feels like our home away from home. We are a returning family for our third time at this pool house. We love it!! We spent 11 days and our 4th of July on this beautiful island.
This house offers everything you need - privacy, pool, secluded beach with excellent snorkeling , perfect sunrises, sunsets within walking distance, stars at night, an ocean view, waves to hear at night and not to mention your local friendly albatross. The house has all the amenities needed for our family of 6 - cooking ware, towels, beach towels, beach gear, board games, bbq and washer and dryer. One of the best parts of our stays has been Samantha. She has always answered a question or concern, given advise on where to go, and has been a genuine when speaking with us which made us feel like we were speaking to friend rather than a owner. Thank you so much for sharing your house and giving us memories we will never forget. Kauai and Samantha,

This property was amazing. My family went for a relaxing laid back vacation and with 3 kids 4 and under, it was our first actual vacation where we were able to kick back and relax with nothing to do but enjoy our personal salt water pool and hot tub and listen to the waves all day long. Samantha was a great host, very attentive and seemed generally excited to host us. She was very responsive anytime I texted her. The house was perfect for us. My kids being little, it was nice to have our own pool as resorts tend to scare them a little when bigger kids splash too much in the pool. We literally were in the pool and hot tub 3-4 times per day. We spent 11 days there and are already looking to book our next vacation here in this same home. I felt at home in paradise.
I know there was a nasty review about the house being dated, dirty, bugs, etc. Complete BS. This is a house, with the privacy you get along with it that you do not get in a hotel. It doesn't have to be perfect, and if the paint job of the house (which was fine by the way) is something that is going to be a priority for enjoying your vacation, then a hotel with all the amenities is the way to go, a private oasis is not for you. It's true, there is no A/C, but we were there in June and never needed it. The home was airy and never was it stuffy or hot. I cooked every day, even made a birthday cake for my baby who turned 1 there, and it was never hot even with the stove and oven on.
My kids are like little heaters, yet they were nice and fresh and slept perfect the entire stay, something they do not do if they are too hot.
My only complaint was the geckos in the house, which was not the fault of the homeowner or the home itself. All the screens were in place so i think the little suckers were just faster than us as we went in and out.
We did sight see a bit, mostly trying out the different beaches on the island, though we mainly stayed home and relaxed. Our favorite beach Hanalei was just a 10 minute ride from Princeville. We found it had the softest sand. The south side of the island is definitely hotter, but truthfully we didn't find it much hotter and the plush scenery was definitely missing. Having gone to other parts of the island helped to confirm that Princeville is the most beautiful area and we will never stay anywhere but there in the future. Though really it's all Hawaii, so you can't go wrong!
Mahalo Samantha and we cannot wait to be back soon!

We spent seven days in Kauai and couldn't have found a better place to stay. The pool was definitely the highlight of the house; so wonderful to be able to jump in the pool and cool down just steps from the house! House was great for our family of teens- it was fully equipped, had everything we needed. Samantha was so helpful and responsive. Finally, we really liked being on the north shore; Princeville was a really nice residential area and close to some absolutely amazing beaches and hikes.

Our stay at the Ocean Pool House was lovely. The view was stunning and relaxing. Our kids enjoyed going back and forth from the hot tub to the pool on those mornings we weren't ready to trek to the beach just yet. The house really had everything we needed, including beach chairs, pool floats, beach toys, and beach umbrellas. We were traveling with an infant so we did have to rent some baby gates and bring some baby proofing gear to make it safe and allow us to relax a bit more. :) The neighborhood was quiet and the house was clean. And we loved seeing the many albatross nesting throughout the neighborhood. And laundry was key! The caretaker - Samantha - was very responsive. This was our 2nd time staying in Princeville. We have stayed in Hanalei before but with the recent flooding I was a bit worried...so we were glad we stayed up in Princville which is convenient to many shops and restaurants. You won't be disappointed spending a week or two at the Ocean Pool House.

We spent Christmas vacation in this home (2 weeks), as a family of 6 adults.
We enjoyed the quiet area where the home is located, the waves crashing in the distance was lovely to fall asleep to in the master bedroom.
The home is as advertised and photographed. However, we did feel that it could use some maintenance and a deep clean. The outdoor grill is in poor condition, and it was nearly out of propane when we arrived. Also, some of the furniture needs to be replaced or repaired.
We enjoyed most of our meals at home, the kitchen was well stocked and equipped.
I believe the beach mentioned in the ad is "Sea Lodge beach". It is a bit of a hike down, steep and slippery at times. You must be prepared to climb over boulders and tree stumps to enjoy. It is a quaint little beach that does not get much sun.
There is plenty of lounge chairs around the pool, as well as beach chairs, floaties, flippers, water shoes and boogie boards in the garage. We enjoyed beaches all over the island, as well as the pool and hot tub in the yard.
Hanalei Bay is very close by (10 minute drive), we would highly recommend hanging out there. The beach is lovely and the town has nice shops & places to eat.
Unfortunately, everything else is minimum 40 minutes away. We enjoyed some hikes, kayaking and a Helicopter tour around the Kappa area (45 minutes). Na Pali Coast boat tours and Waimea canyon (1.5-2 hours).
With that said, it was our decision to stay in Princeville, it is nothing against the vacation home; and we did enjoy the location. Princeville has an upscale island vibe, and we found that is was mostly friendly locals in the area.
Thank you Samantha for hosting a relaxing family vacation.

The Ocean Pool Ocean House has a beautiful view, pool, spa, and yard. The house is spacious and the kitchen is well stocked with many utensils, plates, and pots and pans... There is a washing machine and dryer in the garage. The location of the house is great, with Hanalei and a grocery store and restaurants just down the road. The trail down to the beach was a fun little hike; I recommend wearing tennis shoes as the trail was a bit slippery in flip flops. We went on several excursions while staying at the house: (Captain Andy’s Sunset dinner cruise, Smith’s Family Luau, Princeville ATV and zipline tour, Helicopter tour, and Wailua Falls, and Poipu Beach, Gaylord’s and Koala Rum tour) all of which took us no more than 2 hours to get there. Samantha was a pleasure to work with. We’d love to return for another fun trip to Kauai very soon.
