As you meander past the blossoming plumeria and hibiscus trees, a verdant archway leading to the crystal clear Pacific and golden sand shores of Alaeloa Bay catches your eyes and pulls you down to as close to a private beach as you will see in Maui. Here lives the community clubhouse, oceanfront pool, and a gentle passage to enter the ocean. You will find Honu, Humuhumunukunukuapua’a, and Humpbacks inviting you to enjoy yet respect these precious waters. Seriously- this is one of the most peaceful, protected, and stunning oceanfront locations that you will ever experience.
Alaeloa is nestled right in the heart of Napili making it just a few minutes away from Napili Bay, Kapalua Bay, Oneloa Bay, Flemmings, Mokuleia, and Honolua which are some of the most pristine beaches Hawaii has to offer. Championship golfing, fine dining, and some fantastic local dining (Joey’s, Mamas, and Fond as well as full service grocery store are all right across the street from Alaeloa).

The overall stay was great, but there were a few little things that could easily have been made better, particularly for a high-end place like this.
The kitchen was pretty well appointed -- plenty of dishes, flatware, glasses, cookware, etc., OK cook top and oven, decent quality BBQ w/ an extra propane tank in reserve. The fridge was oddly placed and somewhat beat up because the door opened against the partial wall at the entry end of the kitchen and the ice maker in the freezer seemed to be broken/non-functional.
The other annoyance in the kitchen was the availability of ONLY a Keurig single cup coffee maker with all the pollution-generating plastic waste that comes with it. We ended up buying (and leaving) a small Mr. Coffee basket brewing machine to try to be able to enjoy the amount of coffee we normally drink without generating a mountain of garbage. I get that it's nice to have something convenient for a cup or two, but with the size mugs provided, it would take 2 pods to fill one of them, and 16 - 20 pods per day for the four of us is expensive, time-consuming and wasteful.
The seating was plentiful & looked nice, but oddly none of it was terribly comfortable to sit in for any of us, despite a variety of builds - all form, no function. Also, having slightly elevated outdoor seats, but foot rests for only half of them made all of us using them at the same time not work well.
The place was great, but could easily be made much closer to ideal with a few more tweaks.
