The heart of downtown Kailua-Kona is Alii Drive, a bustling street that runs parallel to the ocean. Along Alii Drive, you will find a wide variety of shops, restaurants, cafes, and art galleries, many of which specialize in local crafts and cuisine. You can also find street vendors selling fresh fruits, coconuts, and handmade souvenirs.
One of the main attractions of downtown Kailua-Kona is the Hulihee Palace, a former royal residence that is now a museum showcasing Hawaiian artifacts and historical items.
