This recently renovated cottage is inspired by the old Hawaiian plantation style era but with all the modern amenities one could ask for! The surrounding neighborhood is a unique and highly desirable location, within walking distance to restaurants and shops, steps to the family friendly Baby Beach, snorkeling and surf breaks. There is a large wrap around lanai with ocean views to enjoy morning coffee or happy hour drinks or just relaxing with a good book.
At night the lanai has LED lighting enhances your outdoor enjoyment. Inside, the large living room, dining area and kitchen have been updated with wood floors, new appliances, plantation shutters and comfortable stylish furniture. A collection of contemporary art and Hawaiian textiles grace the walls and there is a large flat screen, smart TV. The two bedrooms, each with a king bed, have high quality organic cotton linens and plenty of storage.
There is an additional shower outdoors to wash off sandy toes and salty skin. On the side yard there is a large patio with a gas barbeque, outdoor dining area and umbrellas to enjoy the ocean view. At night the patio is romantically lit with over head string lights. The cottage is air-conditioned and solar-powered.
This property includes beach chairs, beach towels, a cooler and umbrella. Please feel free to call us if any of these items are missing during your stay.

Very nice presentation. The owners have tried to think of everything to make a guest comfortable. It is a charming decor and well designed for island life. We enjoyed all the fans and the option of an ocean breeze or air conditioning if that became too hot or humid. We did not find an easy way to log on and receive Wi-Fi. Another observation was that cleaning fees seemed much higher than other similar rentals we have used on the island. Rather than a standard high cleaning fee, a returnable damage deposit might be a more affordable approach.

The cottage, amenities, location, and hosts surpassed my expectations. My brother and I had the most incredible venture in Kauai and found such peace and comfort at the Poipu cottage.
We cannot recommend it enough and I certainly plan to come back!

The house was MORE than we could have expected!
Having the owners next door was fantastic, they were kind, thoughtful and respectful of our time.
This was our first visit to Kaua’i and so far the most beautiful island. The proximity to the ocean was perfect. We could hear the waves at night. The street was very quiet, and the beaches were gorgeous, if we didn’t care about seeing the rest of the island we could have just stayed and walked to the beach every day. It was literally a slice of heaven.

The cottage could not have been more perfect. It is beautiful, clean, comfortable, nicely furnished and had everything we needed to make our holiday great. The owners live next door and they were so kind. They gave us excellent tips about places to visit and they are very knowledgeable about the island and the history and culture there. We highly recommend this property and hope to visit again.

House was quaint and updated . Is not ocean view . View is obstructed by grey house right in front . Is not sunset view . I think it should be disclosed that the owners live next door about 10 feet away and will stop over unannounced . I also should mention they are very strict about 2 people which is fine . However I broke my foot while on island and needed my husband to extend his stay on island to care for me as my dad was coming in for end of trip . When my father arrived we were rudely approached by the owners and basically kicked out on an island at full capacity bc now we had 3 even though we fully disclosed our circumstances directly to the owner, and they seemed sympathetic and acted like it was acceptable. I understand rules but there is room for compassion and a little flexibility so if you are looking for a relaxing vacation this is not the place for you . I have been a VRBO owner . I would never have done that to any of my renters and I have never been treated so poorly . I was even treated poorly by the rental company Poipu beach vacation rentals c. when requesting a refund for nights we were going to have to stay at another property .I basically was told I didn’t know how to add up to 3 .

This house was a perfect home base for our hiking adventures around Waimea Canyon. It had everything we needed including a great lanai to relax on and was close to restaurants and shops. The owners live next door and were so kind and helpful. Highly recommend.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beautiful cottage near baby beach. The home is located on a quiet street close to baby beach. The snorkeling across the street was fantastic. I ran in to several sea turtles while snorkeling only 50ft from the shore. The hosts were very welcoming and warm. My wife appreciated the lei she was given to her on our anniversary. The views of the sunset across the street were gorgeous. The house itself has everything you would need for the beach including, chairs, boogie boards and fins. The kitchen was well stocked with great pots and pans. I also enjoyed having a grill to cook our fresh fish on. I would recommend this house to anyone.

Beautiful cottage! Immaculate/spotless, well furnished, everything you need for a wonderful stay is provided. A cloth backpack with metal water bottles was a nice caveat to provide an environmentally healthy option to buying plastic bottles. The lanai provides a beautiful way to observe your surroundings while listening to the birds and surf nearby. Lots of places to walk to, including the harbor for a swim or the lagoon across the street,and lovely farmers markets to buy delicious fruits and veggies. Cannot wait to return! Lovely place💕✨
