The Stark Ohana is a lovely waterfront condo nestled on a sunny, grassy piece of land looking across the Pacific Ocean to the island of Kaho‘olawe and the Molokini Crater. The famous humpback whales and a continual romantic parade of pleasure boats sail by the condo's view throughout the day. The south-facing exposure catches the sunrise and sunset as well as all the sunlight and warmth possible through the seasons. There is no car needed when you want to venture to the beach, the sand is just steps away from our condo. It is the perfect location. The condo is just two miles from The Shops at Wailea with a well-stocked Island market, shops and eateries, exquisite coffee shops, and restaurants. Half a mile in the opposite direction is the famous Makena Landing with an easy boat or kayak launch ramp, almost daily tour excursions and the best snorkeling on the island. Five miles away you will find Kihei with countless incredible restaurants, shopping and beaches. The Stark Ohana is also situated between some of the most beautiful and sought after golf courses in the world.
An abundance of wildlife can be enjoyed from this pretty seaside retreat: whales (seasonal), dolphins (seasonal), geckos, mongoose, coral reefs, and sea turtles. At low tide the rocks at the water’s edge offer hours of exploration for shells, tidepools, crab, small fish, octopus, jellyfish, and other sea creatures.
Snorkeling from this side of the island is fabulous, you will see the daily excursion tours coming straight to our reefs to snorkel this famous area, it is the best snorkeling on the island and it is beach accessible to you! Rental guests are given information and advice so they can create their exciting snorkel adventures.
At night the sound of waves crashing onto the sandy beach lulls visitors to sleep.
This light, airy, recently remodeled condo has an open living room, dining room, and kitchen with vaulted ceilings, and a gorgeous infinity sliding door opening onto a large peaceful private lanai for reading and sunbathing. The panoramic view is stunning. It is also completely furnished with all the details of a restful and welcoming home.
The home's sleeping areas include a private king master bedroom, a private king bedroom, and pull out couch in the living room all equipped with new mattresses. The bedrooms have lovely pillows, spreads, cozy comforters, high quality bedding and linens. Our home also boasts two vibrant bathrooms with new showers.
Our home does have an air conditioner, but with the lovely subtle breeze off the ocean just yards away, most days it is unneeded.
The open, sunny kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, dining, and entertaining with lovely dishes, cookware, and utensils. Our kitchen has all brand new appliances including an induction oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and toaster. Many cooking essentials are available for use by the rental guest. Brand new private grill on our lanai.
The storage/laundry room has a washer and dryer.
