This lovely, tiled, spacious (300 sq. ft.) studio with large covered lanai and tropical garden view is one of several studios in our Guest House. Wake up in the morning to birds singing and pick papayas from your lanai. Our studio has a comfortable queen bed, sleeper sofa, kitchenette, full bath, and cable TV. We offer free WiFi, convenient onsite parking, beach chairs/towels, coolers & boogie boards. Great central location, on the hillside overlooking the Kona Coast, 7 miles north of downtown Kailua. 10 minutes from airport (no noise) for those late flights. Owners have been hosting Big Island visitors for over 30 years, speak German, and are happy to share suggestions and answer questions if guests desire.
We provide everything to make this your home away from home. After a day of fun, relax on your private lanai and listen to the gentle rustling of banana leaves.
Our studio has a kitchenette so you can cook meals. The kitchenette includes refrigerator /freezer, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, electric skillet, rice cooker/vegetable steamer, portable stove top with pot, hot water kettle and dishes.
Dish washing and laundry facilities are located down the hall. There is a small charge for washer/dryer and detergent is included.

Cozy. The night noise of the birds and inhabitants of the "honey i shrunk the kuds jungle yard" (its actually amazing) was a bit nervewracking the first night but then your used to it (after shutting every possible window-ut drowns em out) trust that the heavy steppers upstairs were WAY NOISIER then the jungle yard. Very clean. Bring your own bed pillows cause those suckers are flat and thin. Comfy bed! Convenient washer & dryer. Home is definetely off the beaten path but you wont get rosd noises for sure.
All in all we would definitely stay here again if we return to Kona! :)

We booked and paid for this studio for 2 weeks and only stayed 3 nights. Unfortunately the interior furniture and bed were uncomfortable and in need of upgrades. We just could not get comfortable at night while hanging out inside. It is not advertised as being downstairs. Noise from the upstairs unit was disturbing; you can hear normal talking voices, toilet flushing, water running, and kitchen appliances being used. We have rented many VRBO's and travel extensively but this unit is not worth the money. It should be priced at about $80/night for what you get. We asked the owners for a partial refund and they declined to refund a cent even though we vacated the studio after only 3 days. We rented a nice hotel in town for the same cost for the remaining 12 days of our vacation. Renters beware; the place looks cute, but it is not worth the money. I've stayed in hostels that had better accommodations for a lot less cost.

The "Hibiscus" room was perfect for our vacation. We spent every morning relaxing on the large lanai feeling the warm breezes. Our view of huge hibiscus flowers, banana and papaya trees was just lovely. The room was clean and large, our bed was comfortable. We had everything we needed to cook when we wanted to eat in. Truly we wanted for nothing. Two days in and I was planning our return. The location is great; easy to get to Kona and points south and getting to points north. Nanette and Anne are warm and welcoming, I enjoyed our conversations. This room is perfect for couples. It is obvious-loved it!
