Location, Location, Location!
Please Note: This unit is directly above Hula's Bar and Lei stand. Though every effort is made by the bar to contain their noise level. This may not be the quietest unit in the building. Thus it's awesome price Thank-you...

We actually did not get to stay in the unit we booked at grand hotel, which is above a fun LGBTQ bar “Hulas” that we looked forward to. We were double booked and due to getting in at 11pm, the situation had my friends and i outside until 1am wondering where we were going to stay. We were very appreciative of the hotel staff since they found a solution while we couldn’t get a hold of the host, it was late, oh well. We got a well deserved discount that we had to barter for. It’s unfortunate that the double booking situation took the whole half of our first day as we had a lot of morning plans. The unit we were moved to was beautiful and close to everything so perfect. We were the first guests to stay there. Wifi went dead on the 2nd day. The area was perfect, people are lovely and hotel staff amazing. Host didn’t communicate we were staying at the new unit so staff stopped by early to check who was staying here, since they had a couple break ins, so that was fun. the unit is around quite a few homeless people, but not disruptive or anything. overall great stay and recommend but maybe dont book through 3rd party app.

We enjoyed out stay at the Waikiki Grand Hotel! We loved the location being at the edge of busy Waikiki Beach and having Diamondhead, the zoo, park and ocean as our view.
Check in and out was super easy and the Waikiki Grand hotel staff were professional and friendly.
Having laundry facilities available in the basement was a huge plus. I would recommend that the sleeper sofa be replaced as it looks dingy and the material is not ideal for a weekly rental.
The noise from the street and Hula's down below us took a night to adjust to from home. We brought a white noise sound machine which was helpful.

Needs a deep clean. From windows to the showers to the floor to the balcony. Other than that it’s an amazing little spot. Has everything you need and the staff is really nice. The parking is the best! Book in advance! Loved our stay overall.

I hate to give "conflicted" reviews. There were good things about this property (mostly the location- (loved not being in the heart of the city)), loved having ocean-view, greenspace-view (the zoo was across the street), the roof-top deck and views were astounding. But the room was a great disappointment. The floor was fairly nasty (I am sure there was dirt or God knows what stuck on it in places) and it grossed me out. I did not want to spend any time in the room as it felt claustrophobic, partially because the lanai sliding doors were shielded by the bed. The lanai area was also very dirty and cluttered with beach gear. It was just not somewhere you wanted to spend any time on (the lanai)(or the room, for that matter). The couch was also a micro-suede material which gets scummy over-time and should be replaced. The curtains next to it were difficult to open because the sofa arm interfered with it. These are all things that easily could be improved to make this a 5-star stay. I would recommend that the furniture to be re-positioned (such as the bed in front of the window, the glass table between the kitchen and the patio doors, the armoire on the right wall and the sofa in the middle of the room facing it. That way i think the space would be more inviting. Learning on the last day that the windows actually slid all the way open opening up the room was a good find, too late. And one last suggestion. A Keurig would be a huge help for guests who drink different coffees.

I was very impressed with the unit, the staff and the location. Felt very comfortable with knowing Mark was always available and responded quickly. The staff for the hotel was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here 3night and 3 on the north shore. This is a great location to explore the south side of the island.

I really enjoyed my stay. The place was small and cozy, probably a little too small. There were two adults a 14 & 9 yr old (just to give you a visual). It was frustrating trying to get around in the place because how small. I’d say it’s more for just two people. To get into the place, we had to enter a pin at the door but a couple times it wasn’t taking out pin and we were locked out for a couple mins. We just continued to put the pin in and eventually it worked. That was a bit frustrating too. The bed we slept on was squeaky and didn’t feel too stable but overall the place was clean, when we had questions, they were answered. The balcony area was an amazing view of the sky and the ocean. If you went up to the 10th floor that was an open space where you can watch the sunrise and the sunset which was beautiful. If you need to do laundry, they sell laundry pods downstairs at the desk but the lady was nice enough to give us a couple for free. The parking was difficult to find, be ready to walk. Other than that, the location was PERFECT. Literally across the street from the Honolulu Zoo and beach which my kids really loved because they visited the beach everyday we were there. Downstairs is a close by ABC store and Starbucks. There was a Hamburger spot connected, a bit pricey but the food was amazing. Around the corner walking distance was a lot of places to eat at and different stores that carried things like beach stuff, clothes, souvenirs, etc…Overall, I’d stay again. 🙂

This was an absolutely wonderful place to stay. It was near everything I was looking for and extremely family friendly. I can’t wait to come back and visit. We will again use this location.
