The kitchen has a granite counter top with beautiful cabinets, microwave, large toaster oven, hot plate, electric skillet, rice cooker, blender, coffee maker, and of course, a fridge. It's well-stocked with cooking utensils, silverware, and dinnerware.
We have a 50 inch flat screen TV in the living area.
There's a nice round oak table with 4 chairs and a full sized sofa sleeper (if you have more than 4 people in your party). Awesome concrete stain floors, easy to clean, in case you bring some sand in with you.
The bathroom is a good-sized and is loaded with bath and beach towels.
Access to washer and dryer in back house if needed. Keyless entry. Guests will have wireless internet. Boogie boards and snorkels are around to borrow. I teach tennis and you are welcome to borrow tennis rackets and balls as well.
Our street is 1/2 way between the beach and the mountains. About 400 yards from Hukilau Beach and on the way to many hiking trails such as Laie Falls. The Polynesian Cultural Center is close as well as BYU Hawaii and the LDS Laie Hawaii Temple.
The Bus is on Kamehameha Hwy right in front of Hukilau Beach. Walking distance to the beach and Laie Shopping Center.

The location is in a predominantly Mormon community. NOTHING is open on Sundays. No alcohol can be bought at the stores, so plan accordingly. It is a very quiet neighborhood near PCC and the north shore.
Check in was easy do not anticipate early check in.
Parking is tight. Larger vehicles may have a problem.
Property has very few kitchen amenities.
Beds and pillows are not the most comfortable.
Restroom is nice. The shower head is a little tricky to turn on. You will be sent a picture on how to operate.
Air conditioner is large enough to keep the entrance/kitchen and living room cool but bedrooms will be warm. Master bed fan was not operable.
My biggest con was the noise. The property is shared with presumably a young family. The walls are very thin and you can hear loud banging coming from upstairs, including very early hours. I was awoken at 3:40a with constant banging.
Otherwise, this rental is in a great location near the north shore and PCC.

We were looking for a place to stay that would be budget friendly and in a good location to explore the North Shore. This fit both requirements really well. The fact that towels, snorkel equipment, and a washer and dryer were supplied were a great help! Fantastic location, great communication with owner, and an overall wonderful experience.

The Banana Bungalow was a great little place to stay. It was perfectly situated for the area we needed on the North Shore and was great. Martha is great to work with and more than flexible. We would definitely stay here again.
