Sleeping 6, our large private garden cottage is located just 50 steps away from Kailua Beach. The lush garden setting offers a large air conditioned bedroom that sleeps 4 (queen size bed and 2 twin beds), with a screened in lanai (sunroom) that sleeps two more on the queen sized day bed (punei).
Exquisitely furnished with antiques and aloha, our cottage offers you the Hawaii that few will see. This 1200 sq.foot cottage embodies the type of living that Hawai'i is known for: From the screened in lanai (patio), to the fully upgraded kitchen, to an open garden area, our cottage offers island living at it's best. Families with children enjoy a large yard and the closeness of the beach.
Beach amenities available at no extra charge: Boogie boards, sand toys, beach towels, and sand chairs. Kailua Beach Vacation Cottage provides a little bit more so you can bring less!

Cool place! The enclosed lanai is amazing. The cottage is very well-equipped and the hosts are very welcoming. Location is very close to the beach. Hope to return!

Such a beautiful place to stay! We loved being surrounded by the tropical foliage and just a footsteps a way from the beach! We went every morning to watch the sunrise. We visited several beaches during our stay and the one by this house was by far our favorite! They even had beach toys for my kids to play with. The house was so comfortable and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back, I highly recommend this Vrbo!!!

Wishing we were still there! It really had everything we needed and more: space, privacy, outdoor shower (and indoor one), beautiful greenery, and birds (I even made a recording). But tops for us was the location: a three-minute walk to our favorite beach (Kailua). Still being on California time, I was able to make it for the 5:30am sunrise every morning. Amazing! We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time in Kailua. Patrick and his wife were very communicative hosts. The house has a well equipped kitchen and is a very short walk to the beach. We walked along the beach every morning to watch the sunrise then went to get coffee at the nearby Sunrise Cafe. We really enjoyed hanging out in the covered patio every evening. Thank you for a great stay! We will be back.

We had 3 generations stay here and everyone loved it! Everyone wanted to sleep on the lanai because it was so comfy but I lost out and slept in the king bed. Turned out well for everyone because I love sleeping cold and the bedroom had the A/C unit! Be aware if you have mobility issues it is not completely a ranch style house. There is a step down into the bedroom and a step up to the toilet next to the washer. The house had everything (and then some) you will need for a fun, relaxing trip. There were lots of extras provided for the beach like chairs, towels, boogie boards and the walk to it was less than 5 minutes. Pat and Kelly were great hosts, super friendly and very helpful. One of my suitcases was damaged on the flight over (now unusable) and Kelly not only gave me numbers for possible repair people but even offered to let me use one of her suitcases on the way home! We all definitely want to come back in the future.

First-location. The house was one easy block from an exceptional beach. It’s hard to get a better location than that. The house was very comfortable, with a large bedroom and a very comfortable and exceptionally well equipped kitchen. The real gem is a large screened porch where we spent a lot of time. Yes, there is no air conditioning. However the screen porch has a great breeze and it just wasn’t a problem. The owner was a pleasure, very communicative and helpful. I couldn’t have asked for better. The only issue is that the house is on a somewhat busy street and there is some traffic noise. However, given the many pluses that was a minor issue. My husband and I are already looking at our schedule so we can come again next year.
