Kona Makai is a beautiful ocean front complex with beautifully maintained gardens right on the Ocean with dolphin, whale watching. Very quiet complex with private tennis court, free parking, free WIFI. Great pool area on the ocean with spa, ping pong, fully equipped fitness room and BBQ. On the Iron Man Triathalon path. Ground Floor unit for easy access - elevated lanai for views. Bldg 5 is just up from pool and away from road noise, North/South facing for dark cooler morning bedroom, indirect sunlight in living area. Quiet concrete building doesn't transfer noise from other units. Great location, easy access and close to town and beaches.

Brand new 2022 Remodel includes all new floor tile thru out, new panel blinds, new blackout curtains, new bathroom vanity, sink, toilet, walk-in rain shower with seat and hand nozzle. New ninja smoothie and drink maker and food processor. Well stocked with replenished furniture, towels, bedding, kitchenware, ice chest, snorkels, beach items.

The TV in the living room is hooked to cable and even though it is a smart TV we suggest just using that one for cable with the spectrum controller. It gets a little complicated for some to switch back-and-forth. There is a brand new smart fire TV in the bedroom and that one kept internet and games only - it’s not hooked to cable. It’s a smart TV, you have to have a free Amazon account for the fire box controller. You can set up for access and download the apps for whatever you’re watching at home all those Internet apps like Netflix or YouTube or there’s a host of them or connect your own HDMI or USB devices.

Tile floors, fans and AC keep it cool. Hair dryer, iron and ironing board are provided. Snorkel fins, peach gear boogie boards are in the closet, but snorkel gear is subject to use and not regularly replenished. Most buy or rent . Costco or Walmart have reasonable prices and some leave it here.

Two lanais, one with ocean view allow trade wind to flow thru-cooler,nice outside sitting.

Tennis court requires getting the key and returning the key to the HOA manager office, which is just a couple doors down but plan for the weekend because they’re not the end on the weekend. There are a few tennis rackets, but you’ll probably need better balls.

Beautiful snorkeling reefs right at the property with access (except in high surf). Watch dolphins,sunsets and whales from the property.

Very convenient ~ 1 mile walk or 2 minute drive to town and well known restaurants . On the bus/trolley route. Five minutes from famous snorkeling beach with sea wall, lifeguard and sea turtles. Enjoy shopping in town and the open market.

Volcano National Park is a great day trip. Pu'uhonua o Hōnaunau National Park is only 30 min and best snorkeling at 2 step a short walk outside the park.
