The perfect Dupe. Less crowded, a little unexpected, and truly delightful. The vibe here is RETO and CHILL. Friends and Family fun await you. Message us for details as we do not use the VRBO calendar.
Located in Makaha Valley Resort District, perfect for 5 to 8 guests. Walk out the gate directly onto Makaha Surfing Beach. We have 2 Bungalows on our property. Each bungalow is... 700 square feet with 2 air-conditioned bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a living room, and a fully equipped kitchen. Boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs, and umbrellas, are all available in the cabana. Snorkel with the sea turtles right off the beach. Do a little Whale Watching from the front yard….migrating season is late December through March, or just enjoy a good book while swinging in the hammock. Sunsets you ask.....absolutely!
Makaha Beach is truly the hidden jewel of Oahu. You are only 35 miles northwest of Honolulu airport away from all of the crowds. Makaha Beach is famous for surfing dating back to the '50s but there is also great snorkeling and just plain lying on the beach in the sun.
If you are looking for a great location with a beautiful secluded beach this place is for you. Our Bungalows come with a large front yard, which overlooks the ocean, along with the beach equipment found in the cabana to help you enjoy your stay. If you like to play golf, Makaha Valley Resort has 1 golf course with spectacular views. The South Course is scheduled to be redesigned by PGA legend Tiger Woods. Rumored to become a distinct and memorial golf course. We are very excited.
Barbeque on the front lawn and eat under our 100+-year-old Hau tree. It's the perfect place to enjoy those beautiful Hawaiian sunsets and a great family meal. Beach chairs, snorkeling gear, and boogie boards are located in the cabana. A washer and dryer are located outside each bungalow and a separate parking space for each bungalow is inside our gated yard.
This is really "local" Hawaii. The Makaha Country Club for golf and they now have the restaurant open. Great deep-sea fishing out of the Waianae Harbor and the freshest Ahi Tuna on the island can be found at our local grocery store. Lots of farming nearby which means lots of fresh vegetables and fruits. The farmers market is open on Saturday mornings. There are no bars or restaurants in our immediate neighborhood which makes this the perfect spot for a zero-proof vacation. There are restaurants within 3 miles, Coquitos Latin Cuisine and Kahumana Organic Farm and Cafe. The Beach House by 406 is a nice restaurant and has a nice bar. In Ko'Olina, (20 minutes) Roys, Monkey Pod, Island Vintage Coffee, and more. In Kapolei, (30 minutes) Outback, Chilis, and many more restaurants.
You will have a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable time here at The Bungalows. We look forward to meeting you and sharing this little piece of paradise with you.

Right on beach. Large grassy beautiful yard. Amazing sunsets. Hammocks and swing were enjoyable. Sitting under the 100 year old Hau tree and listening to the waves crashing on the shore was very relaxing. A little out of the way to most attractions but manageable and that’s part of the appeal. Beach chairs, boogie boards, ice chests, beach umbrellas all provided in cabana. Bungalows were well maintained and well stocked with everything we needed. If you’re looking for peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu this place is for you. Lisa and Ken are amazing hosts.

Spectacular location right on the beach, away from the crowds of Honolulu. As a family we loved being able to walk out of the back yard straight on to the beach. Sitting outside in the evenings watching the beautiful sunsets was wonderful. As was seeing turtles and a seal whilst swimming.
Lisa was quick to respond to messages, and Ken, who was present in our second week, was full of useful information and provided us with some delicious mangos and avocados.

What a wonderful property! The perfect spot for our family getaway. The beach is steps away with crystal clear water and plenty of beach toys and supplies in the cabana. We spent most of our time at the beach or in the beautiful yard. The bungalows can get hot during the day - A/C in the bedrooms only. Lots of natural light - Bring an eye mask if you want to sleep past dawn. Private, safe, and away from the touristy areas of Oahu, we thoroughly enjoyed our week at the bungalows.

Enjoyed our stay with a family of four. Easy access to beach. Had plenty of snorkel gear and boogie boards for the kids. Beach was clean and safe for swimming. Location not crowded. We slept comfortable on the beds provided. Had everything we needed for cooking in the kitchen. We would stay again.
