We had a wonderful stay at Makani Sands! Our condo was just as stated on VRBO and came with everything we needed for an amazing stay. The kitchen is well furnished for meal preparation and the hosts have beach chairs, snorkeling gear, etc. making beach trips a breeze. We loved watching the whales from the lanai and the kingsize bedroom offered great night sleeps. We would love to stay here again on our next Maui visit. I love the location as it is conveniently located next to a number of wonderful beaches.

The property manager, Tammy , was great! They are doing construction on the ocean side, and we didn’t realize the extent of that, but we were gone most of the day when they worked. Views are wonderful from the Lanai!

I promise this view is unbelievable in person, the pictures do not do it justice. The unit is a little old, but had everything we needed including kitchen items for cooking, eating, doing dishes, and laundry. Beach towels and snorkels were provided and we used them daily. You can swim with sea turtles right outside the condo everyday at high tide. The area is perfect, located near some food and shops, but you will want a car if you want to explore Maui. Would stay here again.

Visited the second and third week of February. There are only about 30 units or so in the complex and that made our stay much more intimate. Get up every morning sit on our lanai and watch the whales go by and put on a show. Very convenient location and super friendly staff.

I loved every minute I stayed at Makani Sands. The unit was spotless and cheery. The view with the breaching whales 🐳 outstanding. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The condo is within walking distance to stores, eating places, and the beach. I loved it all and will return!

Staff was very easy to work with, as always. The unit needed many light bulbs replaced in the kitchen. The ice maker only made 1/2 a container of ice in a week so we bought all our ice. The kitchen lacked basics like salt and pepper.
