The 1/4 acre lot is completely fenced in for privacy and relaxation from the outside world. The main house has 2 upstairs bedrooms, one queen and one double. The den (which is ground level) can be used as an additional sleeping space and even has sliding doors to close it off for privacy. The largest bedroom and bath has its own entry and is private from the main living area and a 50' plasma TV including cable. All bedrooms are equipped with air-conditioning units. All mattresses are tempurpedic. The fully equipped kitchen has marble counter tops and stainless steel appliances. The dining area has a large rectangular table that has two benches and two chairs, easily accommodating at least 6 people. Both the upstairs and the downstairs have comfortable sitting areas, the upstairs boasting an ocean view plus a 50' plasma TV with cable. There are ceiling fans in all the bedrooms and living areas. There is a full indoor laundry room separate from the house.
Outside you will discover a large deck perfect for cooking a meal or relaxing in the hot tub. There is a Weber Genesis propane grill and an outdoor dining area for 6. There are two additional chairs, an umbrella for the table, and seat cushions as well if needed. The hot tub is covered under the deck so that you can enjoy its splendor rain or shine. The two chaise lounges on the lawn are perfect for reading a book while catching some rays. The house provides 2 boogie boards and snorkel gear to help enhance your ocean adventures
The property features a special viewing tower that is accessible from both the upstairs living room and the downstairs deck. The observation tower has a table and four chairs. Spend the morning up here with a cup of coffee or the evening with a glass of wine, either way, the coastline views and ocean breezes are bound to make you never want to leave.
Due to the home's location on a private road, the area is quiet and peaceful. Perfect for watching sunsets and breaching whales. The excitement does pick up though a few times a year during the world famous Iron Man event. During this time, you have front row private viewing to both the swimming and running events. Just 1.5 miles down the road is the famous Mokuaikaua Church in downtown Kona. Water access is just a few steps from the front gate.

This property is perfect for family staying together. The master suite is right next to the main house. Property is clean, tidy and comfortable. Perfect for six adults, although, it can easily accommodate eight.
I loved that you can hear the ocean, you can see it too. The property is not on the beach, but you can see it from areas of the house. If you want to be on the beach, this is not the area.
However, it is an island, so you can easily get to the beach in five minutes. Keep in mind when booking anywhere there are fees, taxes, cleaning deposits in addition to your nightly stay. This is standard when booking vacation property. Our concierge was a tremendous asset and helpful with questions.
By the way instacart delivers to this area, which is terrific!
Beautiful stay, we enjoyed our time, appreciated the amenities, beds and bedding were comfortable, everything we needed was there. Being able to do our laundry was a life saver!
This property will get you as close to the ocean for a great price!

The location was perfect! It was just right for my family of seven adults and 115 month old. The separate room with the king size bed and bathroom was great for my son and daughter-in-law and their baby. It was convenient for them to have their own space.
We even took family pictures on the rocks near the little private beach.
Everything in the Kona area was so close. Our time went so fast. Wish we had built in a day just to enjoy the house but we did use it for several dinners and breakfast. Nice to have the grill.
Wish we would’ve known in advance that there was a few baby items such as a pack and play and a stroller.
The host was very responsive when we contacted her about extra blankets. Would’ve loved some extra sheets, comforters. She also took care of a small ant problem in the master bathroom.
Plenty of bath and beach towels. The laundry was a plus for sure..
We enjoyed the lookout tower!
Overall we had a great stay!

The 8 of us 2 set of parents, two 20 year olds and a 16 and 17 year old throughly enjoyed our one week stay. It was a great location to explore the Kona Coast, close to grocery stores, 2-steps for snorkeling, Magic Sands Beach and much more. We had breakfast at the house each morning and enjoyed grilling at night. The hammocks were a great addition as well as the geckos that joined us for breakfast. Short walk to view the sunset at the beach nightly.

The pictures and description are really accurate. The house is just off the coast, not on the coast as described and there no beach. But there is a nice elevated open room connected to second floor of house that has a view of the coastline. The main house has an upstairs with two bedrooms and a bathroom and a nice sitting space, that connects to that outdoor space by a bridge. The downstairs has another sitting space, dining space and the kitchen. Then there is a nonattached large room and bathroom. So, it makes a nice place for more than one family to stay because there is basically two seperate areas. The location is pleasant but not really close to a beach, and a short drive from the main coastline locations. The house has coast access is along a road and there is a bench. The layout overall of the house is really quite unusual, but does give a lot of different spaces if a large family stayed. We had fire detector break and the internet went out, but the host was really responsive, and the owner upgraded the wifi while we were staying there. Overall a nice house particularly for a larger group.

Unbelievable.. The house, neighborhood, location was perfect. Exactly 2.0 miles from the famous ironman swim start.. It was the right choice for us competing in Ultraman 2016. The views were great, house worked well for our group of 6 and we really enjoyed the jacuzzi sunsets.

We were looking for a place to call home on Kona -- and we found it at Kai Vista! The house was large and comfortable, the location was ideal, and the management company was incredibly responsive. The concierge service helped us setup some tours -- the Mauna Kea Star Gazing isn't to be missed. Thankfully the house had air conditioning for us to use as some days were really hot. We enjoyed the lookout that is pictured online. We only wish they had a pool -- but we made it work. We hope to return.

We were a little bit disappointed with the location and the description of beach access. The water was accessible however there was no sand beach within walking distance of the house - the water was accessible by climbing rocks which was not ideal for our group. There were appliances and lights that did not work and windows that we could not lock. We made the most of our stay by taking in the beautiful sunsets off the great viewing deck but I believe the property was very overpriced for what it was. I would recommend to stay at the property if the nightly rate was lower.
