The host was responsive and great to deal with. The location was very nice close to bus routes and easy walking distance to beach.
Place was a bit worn. Oven was broken and duct tape shut, but would not stay closed so oven light was always on. Hanging a towel in front solved that and we did not use oven so no big deal. Rest of kitchen and tools were ok except there were no spoons for cereal. We had our own so again no big deal. Shower was fairly low, so if you are tall you need to bend to wash hair. Main thing we disliked was the water in building tasted awful so we ended up buying bottled water.
So
All in all by no means luxurious, but it was also not $500-$1000 per night like the Hilton hotel. Bed was comfortable and had what we needed and good location so for the price comparatively we found it pretty good

Nice little spot that was close to UH as I was visiting my son. Also close to all major tourist areas in Waikiki. Easy check in. Very pricey for parking, but that’s how it is with parking cost in Hawaii. Overall great trip & would recommend.

Larry was a fantastic host. Attentive and answered very quickly when messaged. The instructions for check in were clear and concise. The location is slightly off the main drag but a very close 10 minute walk to the beach. There is a Cafe, pizza place and small restaurant in the hotel. Cafe has great breakfast, pizza place was very tasty and the small restaurant was great for a snack. 7-11 and ABC stores just around the corner with everything you could need. The place itself was great, clean and comfortable. We spent a surprising amount of downtime in the room due to the rain that hit during our stay. If you have questions about anything to do with the room or hotel message Larry as he is much more helpful than the hotel staff.

Nice studio apartment, centrally located to the beach, shopping, restaurants and city buses (all within a few minutes walk). Beach items (beach chairs, snorkeling, flippers, umbrellas, and beach towels) are available to use for those relaxing days on the beach. There was only a couple items missing when we checked in (late in the evening) and when I asked Larry about them he prompted brought them along with a few extra items first thing the next morning. The only negative was some noise from the rooms next door and the elevators kept having issues but that has nothing to do with Larry or his unit. We would definitely recommend this unit!

Larry was a fantastic host, as he made check-in as smooth as possible. The photos on the website seemed a little dated, but it was still a charming room. The location is fantastic, since it is in town and walking distance from everything. The bedding and towels were very clean, and he equipped you with everything you could need for the beach. The building is pretty old, but the location is great. I would stay here again.

Larry was very accessible, making sure I had a smooth check in and everything was ok. The property was exactly as described. I highly recommend the coffee shop on the lobby floor. The building security was very helpful when I had trouble with my access cards. This property is 15 minutes walk to Ala Moana Mall and 10 minutes walk to shops on Kalakaua Ave. I'd stay there again without any hesitation.

I want to first say Larry was such a Gracious host with amazing communication 5 Star Host...
I give the room itself 4 of 5 stars for based on photos on website. The pictures were close but a little out dated from what it actually looked like.
Pros: Location was good it's at the very beginning of the strip going towards Diamond Head and about 0.8 miles away from the center of everything. Local convenience stores within seconds away. About 0.5 miles from the Hawaiian Hilton Village where the beach starts. The bedding and towels were very clean, and he equipped you with everything you would need for the beach. Fully equipped, clean and functioning kitchen. Beautiful Views. There are cameras EVERYWHERE but it's a added security so I didn't mind. The bed is super comfortable and I appreciated being able to watch Netflix and local television. The pool area was very clean and maintained.
Cons: I use a lot of rental share places when I travel because I hate resort fees and I own 2 myself. First issue was the building looks as if it was ready to crumble, it is so run down inside and out. Larry's rental is on the 30th floor so imagine a run down elevator at that height shaking and making noise 😧. The walls are paper thin you can hear the neighbors cough. I would also recommend darkening shades for the room and having the cleaning people clean the floors a little better. Visitors come from different time zones and a 6:00 am sunrise was a little disturbing when you want to sleep. There were also a few open holes I'm guessing from smoke detectors that would add beauty to the rental if it were covered. And adding a cover where the shower head comes out the wall...
Other than that, if you are looking for a clean and affordable place to stay and enjoy walking a little bit this is perfect. I enjoyed Larry being my first Hawaii host he was very nice. And Yes, I would recommend this place. And Yes, I would rent another one of his properties.
Thank You

We throughly enjoyed the large comfy bed, great WiFi and good water pressure.
Larry was a great host and very easy to communicate with.
The apartment has a communal shared entrance door with the next apartment and unfortunately the Neighbours were noisy coming and going but that is nothing Larry has any control of.
We had a great stay thanks Larry

The check in process was fast and much needed after a long flight that was delayed twice. Larry was great with communication. The location of the property was convenient to everything. The room, however had a strong urine smell that I could not get rid of even with Clorox cleanup and there is a hole in the ceiling above the shower. We notified owner we would be checking out early because of it. Larry offered to send a cleaning crew but we declined because at that point vacation was kind of ruined so we checked out and found other accommodations. It was clear the room was not properly cleaned before our arrival.
