Our home is steps from Pebble Beach which provides great access to snorkeling, hiking and is perfectly located to explore the Big Island of Hawaii. You will have exclusive use of a 3 bedroom, 2 full bath, 2 car garage house in the Kona Paradise Subdivision, 25 miles south of Kona. The home is located at the bottom of Kaohe Road, 150 yards from Pebble Beach. It is an easy, non-exerting walk (both directions) to your own private, community beach.
You can hear the whales calling (in season) and the waves cascading onto the pebble shore. We have splendid views of the ocean and the mountains from the house and lanai.
Our expansive wrap-around lanai is the perfect place to enjoy the cool ocean breeze, sip a delicious cup of Kona or Kau coffee, check your email and eat a delicious papaya after awaking to the birds chirping and the beautiful hillside beckoning a morning hike. This is paradise!
Our 2-story home is clean and spacious with an open floor plan. It is three bedrooms, two baths with the living room, dining room, lanai, and kitchen on the upper floor and the garage below. The spacious master bedroom has its own sliding door onto the lanai, a plush pillow-top king size bed, walk-in closet, en-suite bathroom, and full wall of windows facing the southern view and lanai. The house has been professionally furnished from the Stanley Coastal Living Resort Collection, Pottery Barn & Pottery Barn Kids. The sunlit guest bedroom features a pillow-top queen bed and shares a full bathroom with the third bedroom, containing two twin beds. All bedrooms, the living room and lanai have ceiling fans. The house is not air-conditioned; however, all windows are screened, there are two sliding doors onto the lanai, and plenty of ocean and mountain breezes. The expansive covered lanai (15' x 30') is easily accessed off of the living room and the master suite. You will find fantastic views and an enjoyable patio dining table and chairs to enjoy quiet mornings or sunset dinners. A new Weber grill is available for your use in the garage.
The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, blender, coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, hot water kettle, rice cooker, waffle maker and baking pans. The house is on a water catchment system. Please read “rules and policies” for more information.
We are located 25 miles south of Kona and 32 miles south of the airport, off of Highway 11. It is a beautiful, lush and scenic drive past quaint towns and coffee farms. Pebble Beach is a tiny walk from our door. It is a private community, small black pebble beach that offers hiking trail access, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding and diving access. We are also close to Ho'okeena Beach, Pu-uhonua o Honaunau (aka Place of Refuge) and fantastic Two Steps (Snorkeling), The Painted Church, and Kealakekua Bay (Capt Cook Monument). Volcano National Park is 70 miles to the south with great hiking and views.
You will love it here. Come enjoy the paradise!

This property is great. The walk to the beach is short and pleasant. It was a perfect home base for our exploration of this island.
Because of the water retention system, you will be asked to take very short showers and will not be able to use the laundry. But we adapted quickly and enjoyed our stay.

This is a great property. The location is amazing given that you know what to expect. Located in the Captain Cook area, it wont be the closest if you want to golf or do other similar activities every day. However, you get such an amazing & quiet experience. If you want a beach to swim with barely anyone around, great hikes nearby, coffee farms and the Volcano Park closer than if you stayed around Kona, this might be the place for you.

The location is far enough away from the resort type stuff and perfect for a relaxing get away. We recommend Minehune coffee, and Da Poke Shack, South Kona Fruit Stand was amazing as well. We saw amazing sunsets right off the deck of the house!

We loved our stay here on the Big Island. The views were beyond amazing from the house and on our drives. We were just a short walk away to the shore, and really enjoyed the breathtaking views of the ocean waves. The house was very nice as well. It was very clean. The only things we weren’t prepared for was the steep drive down to the house, not having a/c, and not having a washer/dryer. It was also quite a drive to everything we needed. However, these things did not affect the wonderful time our family had here. We actually learned these things are common on the island. We just want the next traveler to be aware. We highly recommend staying here and enjoying that gorgeous view! And wish we had more time to enjoy this beautiful island! ❤️

Kona is the perfect place to enjoy Hawaii the way it should be! Still a bit rustic and full of locals. (Not overran with resorts and tons of people all on top of each other.)The beach is a short walk away and the owner is available via the phone if any needs arise! We had a great time!

We stayed for five days in this very beautiful part of the Big Island. If you're looking for a quiet place to be alone with your thoughts, this is the place for you. The views are impeccable, and the home is spacious, clean, and lovely, but it is isolated and remote. It is far away from most things. It is an hour out of the airport and thirty minutes from the closest supermarket or eating establishment. You would need to rent a car to get here, but be warned, to get to the place, the streets are narrow, and the hills are steep! The car must be put in low gear to go up and down the narrow hill. In addition to that, you must be quiet after nightfall, and they prefer you to turn the lights off for big sky views. The place has a water catchment system, and they require you only take five-minute showers and you're responsible for throwing out your own trash. Despite all these limitations, the overall experience was memorable and we would come back.

Great place, very accurate description. House was clean and details from the owner was very straightforward and simple.
So in terms of the owner and check in, all very excellent.
The house has some mosquitos at dusk, so that was annoying but typical in the area. You won’t escape that in any other house! I just noticed they were more than usual than other places we stayed in Captain Cook, Kona, Hilo, etc. The road is also very steep but just fine in any car, but it’s very steep.
The best thing about this home was the closeness to Pebble Beach. It has everything. Nice snorkeling, plenty of space. The rocks are not kind to bare feet fyi.
Overall this place was excellent and would love to stay again!

Good location. Not oceanfront as pictures would seem to indicate. But fine.

Quiet out of the way with great views and sunsets. The neighborhood, beach and house are all vertically challenging, so problematic for anyone with mobility issues.

The house was beautiful. Great size, great views. Had everything you needed. Location was perfect. Halfway between things on either side of the island. The host was very easy to communicate with and left great recommendations.

A lovely home with a great location, amenities and setting. Did not receive check-in instructions until I was in the driveway despite many attempts to get them earlier. Also, our family of 6 was charged $150 for emergency water delivery for supposedly using “thousands” of gallons of water in 4 nights. Owner provides no tangible way to monitor or confirm your actual water usage so proceed at your own risk. We were gone every morning by 10 and back after dark and took a combined total of 14 showers. Nothing says relaxing vacation like being called a liar after taking such extreme measures to conserve water in every way. Proceed at your own risk.
