Puamana 80-3 is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom townhome ideally located just a short stroll from Puamana’s private ocean access, swimming pool, and playground. Puamana is a low-density gated community of lush gardens and nearly a half-mile of Pacific Ocean beachfront. It’s centrally located to many of the amazing beaches Maui offers and is only five miles from Ka’anapali Beach.
This comfortable, no-frills vacation home is a great value and a perfect home base for those eager to take advantage of all that Maui offers – outdoor adventures including snorkeling, diving, surfing, hiking, biking, horseback riding, zip lining, or just relaxing at the beach. Maui also offers fantastic restaurants, from local favorites to world-class dining, shopping, Hawaiian cultural events, and local farm and plantation tours (everything from pineapples and other tropical fruits to chocolate, coffee, goats, lavender, butterflies, and much more!).
The master bedroom on the ground floor has a queen bed, en-suite bathroom, washer/dryer, and a small office area with access to the lanai. The second bedroom in the loft area has a king bed and two twin beds. The lanai opens to a large greenbelt area with an ocean view, perfect for lounging and barbequing.
Kind Destiny saved this home from the Lahaina Fire, along with 130 other properties on the south shore of Puamana. Maui County has reopened this area of Puamana and verified that the EPA has thoroughly tested all utilities and are in good working order. As a result, we can safely welcome guests back to enjoy a distinctive low-rise oceanfront Maui lifestyle featuring beautiful greenbelts adorned with palm trees that extend along the Pacific Ocean.
The historic clubhouse and 94 townhomes on the north side of the property were destroyed in the Lahaina Fire. All affected building sites have been cleared. Access in this area is restricted. Most of Lahaina Town is also currently off-limits while rebuilding is in progress. You’ll notice the building sites as you drive down the highway and enter the gate at Puamana. Once over the bridge, you’ll enter the tropical oasis of low-rise homes for which Puamana is famous.
Two shopping complexes in Lahaina Town, including grocery stores Safeway and Foodland Farms, survived the fire and are just a 10-minute drive away. Maui's best hula show at the Old Lahaina Luau also survived, along with four excellent restaurants: Mala Ocean Tavern, Coco Deck, Aloha Mixed Plate, and Star Noodle.

Near end of stay I received a message to let the manager know of anything that should be addressed. They promptly brought out an AC unit for the upstairs loft, which was very warm with just fans for our stay. I wish I would have asked sooner….

We had a great time staying in the unit. It is close to downtown Lahaina and steps away from the ocean. The pools are amazing and we felt very safe. The only downside is the townhouse is in separate need of a facelift. It’s a wonderful place and was clean, but everything is very loved. This could be a stellar unit of it was updated and brought into the 21st century.

The Puamana location is ideal, and is a very special and unique neighborhood. Although the homes are dated, most are kept up and maintained and one can see pride of ownership. 80-3 is not. My understanding is that one of the owners has passed, but to keep renting this unit at the price charged is a disservice. The first impression and indicator of what is to come is the front door. It is a disgrace and one could pick up a used door that wasn’t falling apart. The home also has a mold problem. Some of us are allergic to it and I was sick the whole time with sinus and cough. The bathrooms were not cleaned very well-hair and dirt in corners and on baseboards. On the upside -it is so convenient to pools and ocean. The lanai was nice but when the umbrella fell over in the wind, there were hundreds of ants living under the stand and scurried all over the tile. But after a while they went back under to their home and the birds kept them in check. Overall we had a nice time but wish the home was in better shape.

For the price this was a great option for our family we loved being able to walk right out to the beach and surf, use the pool and have a little place for the kids to use and run around on the grass.

Overall it was an amazing place to stay at for our vacation, very comfortable.. only major issue we had was the roaches, ants and termites all over the kitchen and bathroom sinks.. we came across a dead roach on a bed pillow upon arriving..
Besides that, overall it was a great place to have our vacation..

Very unsatisfied! Condo was extremely dirty. Showers had black hair stuck to all walls. Bugs covered kitchen counters. Windows missing. Cockroaches throughout. Dishwasher full of black dirty water, emanating foul odor. Will never stay at this location again. VRBO will not allow me to post unit number. Be cautious!

What an incredible experience staying in Puamana! The kids were able to enjoy the pool and the beach, great to surf at Hot Sands and the sunsets are unreal. Awesome experience!
