Each suite has a private entrance, separate living room, full kitchen and is like having your own condo at the beach in Maui. This special place is hidden behind a private, double gated entrance, lined with 700 ft of lighted coconut palms that lure you into the feeling of leaving the world behind. But is still centrally placed in Kihei nearly all of the amenities you might desire.
The Space:
The Aloha AKU Hula Suite sits closest to the La’ie wetlands. Enter through your private door and enjoy the soothing colors and local art commemorating the Hula tradition of Hawaii. Drop your bags, put on some Hawaiian music, and kick back to begin your amazing stay. Pull open the glass slider and step onto your private lanai. Sit down and enjoy the ocean view across the beautiful grassy area or maybe grab a glass of wine and head down toward the beach for a sunset experience. Maui is calling you.
The total number of guests shall be limited to up to two adult guests and up to two minor guests per bedroom. As we are an adult-centric property, pre-approval for minors 13 years old or younger is required before booking.

Part of the lawn stretching out towards the beach is county-owned and open to the public, but the protected wetlands beside us help create more privacy and a sense of seclusion.

The beach out front of Aloha Aku is only accessible from Aloha Aku or the private neighboring homes and condos. As a result, the beach is underused and hardly traveled. Sometimes it's like having your own private beach. Hidden behind the tallest mangrove forest in the state, Aloha Aku will pleasantly greet you with an extravaganza of natural Hawaiian beauty. Aloha Aku lulls you into a wondrous state of being, yet is in the ultimate location for access to the many conveniences in mid-Kihei. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay. The accomodations were perfect. We had a gorgeous yard right at the beach. Lots of other beaches nearby, and many restaurants. Also easy to travel from there around the island. The hot tub and soaking pool were wonderful! Thank you!

My husband and I had a lovely stay here. The property is so well maintained and in a great location in walking distance to a grocery store, restaurants, and such. The back yard is beautiful and perfect for sitting on your own private lanai for coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening. It faces west so you get the best sunset views. Staff was incredibly communicative and kind. The community room has everything you might need, including a fridge of leftover booze from previous tenants that are free for the taking. Highly recommend!

PROS: great communication with owners, easy check in/out, clean, location close to shopping & restaurants, easy beach access, on-site laundry with supplies, well stocked kitchen & bathroom, beautiful sunsets, no bugs, private patio
CONS: look at pictures carefully because there is a cut out between the bedroom & kitchen area and also the bathroom walls do not extend to ceiling- so no true privacy, hooks & shower caddy mounted very high in shower
OVERALL: Would recommend to others and would stay here again

Our stay was amazing. The one thing I could have mentioned was that our back patio lights were not working and my girlfriend and I wanted to eat dinner outside. But I let our host know and she said she has been trying to get an electrician out to fix the issue and she would do her best to get one out and have it fixed. When we got back that evening they had set up candles for us on the back patio AND the lights were fixed. We enjoyed everything about our stay. THANK YOU!

This condo was in a great location….right on the beach. It’s right in the middle of town and as you go through the gates….your in a tranquil private spot off the road. Best stay for me!

We enjoyed our 6 night stay at Aloha Aku very much. It’s a great location for day trips all over the Island. This location is more than just a home base for vacation. The beach is right outside your door and there is a beautiful sunset over the ocean every night. It is clean and comfortable and the owners and workers are very nice. They had everything we needed including beach chairs, towels and even a cooler. It was wonderful.
Next time we come back to Maui we will stay here again! Mahalo!

My wife and I found Ahola AKU to be the perfect little sanctuary for our honeymoon in Maui! The property was beautiful and serene, with easy access to the beach! The amenities were easily accessible and great for anyone who likes be travel independently. We found that being in Kihei was great to access different parts of the island by car, which was great as we loved exploring some of the more out of the way spots. Great (proactive) support from the staff, who were happy make suggestions and point out things we would have otherwise overlooked. Will definitely come back to Aloha AKU for our next visit to Maui!

The location is great, the grounds are lovely, and the unit is up to date. A nice stay with friendly folks on site. As a note to anyone who may be working out of this location - the wifi signal is very spotty. While it said there was strong signal, it could not support a single video call during my week here. The wifi connectivity is stronger, however, in the main common area, if you need it.
