The Kihei Bay Surf is located in North Kihei across the street from the Whale Sanctuary and Kalepolepo Beach and an ancient Hawaiian fishpond. Each studio has a fully equipped kitchen and Cable TV. In addition there is a large pool, hot tub, tennis court, gas grills and common laundry areas for your use. Whale watch, windsurf, walk the beach and enjoy the most amazing sunsets imaginable. The Kihei Bay Surf is centrally located to shops, restaurants and is just minutes from the championship golf courses of Wailea and Makena. This is one of the best values in Kihei.
** Important Update: A construction project is scheduled for April through December 2024 (estimate). The work will consist of removal of the old roof and solar panels, and installation of the new roof and solar panels. Work is allowed Monday-Saturday from 8am-5pm. We enjoyed our stay and the place was perfect. However, we did run into some parking issues. The first 2 nights we were able to park in front of the unit. The rest of the time we were pushed out by visitors to other tenants. I believe assigned parking would make a big difference in making sure others don’t experience the same thing. Thank you for your time and we look forward to coming back soon. 😎

The place was perfect, and it was in a good location for most parts. Nice area right by the beaches and friendly people. Enjoyed our stay, beds are comfy I stayed on a pull out couch and it was very comfy compared to others I’ve slept on. Emailed owner a couple time and responded promptly. I’d come back here again just in a different room. A lot of road traffic where I was but I got used of it.

The unit was clean upon arrival and stocked with the basics you’d expect in a hotel along with paper towels and garbage bags. They also provided with two beach chairs, a water cooler, and narrow cooler (though it had a broken handle).
Pros for the location are being able to walk across the road for a beach sunset and it’s a pretty easy drive to most locations. The con is its proximity to a main road does mean there’s road noise when going to sleep. (We knew this before booking and came prepared with ear plugs. Most nights the noise was minimal enough that I didn’t bother with my earplugs.)
I didn’t expect to use their pool, but we found ourselves there when the wind started blowing the sand around too much at the beach one afternoon.
Overall we were happy with our stay considering our budget for lodging on Maui.

The rental was perfect--clean, well stocked with what we needed and plenty of storage for our things. Instructions were clear (app was very helpful) and the location was close to great restaurants and beaches without being in the "busy" area/congested area. We also needed to contact the office regarding payment and they were incredibly friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend and we're hoping to be back!

We loved our stay here. It was just what we were looking for for our 4 day trip to Maui. Location was great - minutes away from plenty of places to eat and across the street from the beach. Kitchen and beach essentials were provided which was a huge plus. Thanks for the great stay!
