our whole stay was colored by our check-in experience- we had paid on VBRO, as we have done numerous times, all over the world! We arrived at the office of the property, where we expected
to receive a key and parking pass, and instead spent over an hour- in and out of the office twice-and were charged an additional 85 dollars for "extra taxes and cleaning fees". We had to deal with staff who did not speak English well, and could not explain why these fees had not already been paid. Knowing that there was little available this day, in other accomadations in the area, we did pay the fee, and immediately after arriving at our condo, called VBRO, and have been put in contact with their service people, with whom we will follow-up.
This experience has put me off using this service again, and in fact the parting comment by the staff person at the condo was that we could have gotten kamaaina rates and senior discounts if we had booked direct with Castle Resorts, and it would have been less expensive.........
