Very nicely furnished, looks just like the pictures. Updated and well equipped kitchen. Two huge TVs with Direct TV which was great because of the abnormally heavy rain that occurred in the middle of our stay. Resort is very pleasant. Grocery store within walking distance.
Surprised after reading the departure instructions saying don’t clean up the place, pack and go.
The resort itself was very pleasant. The beach side restaurant Duke’s was great. If you went after 6:30 you could wait list in pretty quickly. Or you can get yourself on the waitlist starting at 3:00 in the afternoon and they text when they have a table. The receptionist told us it was booked solid for the next month and a half but we eat there numerous times without one.

Unit location overlooks the bell check in area and parking lot. Noisy! Overall don’t expect any customer service from check in to check out.
Property is very limited in choice of food and drink options.
Overall value was lowest we experienced in over 20 years traveling to Maui.

Overall, the place was great. Perfect location to the ocean/beach, they provide beach chairs and umbrella. Only con, is the carpets and furniture could use a good cleaning or replacement.

Excellent resort with lots of amenities. Loved all the different hot tubs and pools. Very safe and fun for the kids, they loved the waterslide and the waterfalls too. The room was nice and clean and the managers were very receptive to any questions or issues we had. Highly recommend.

Room pictures and descriptions were all accurate. Very clean and had all the basic amenities we needed. Great location on the third floor with a large balcony overlooking the front of the building and mountains. Room itself had plenty of space for two adults, an 18 month old to run around, and all the additional ”stuff” that comes with a little one :) Check-in was beautiful, it took us less than 15 mins to arrive, checkin, park and be in our room.
We’ve fortunately stayed at Honua Kai multiple times and the grounds, pool, gym, parking, beach, general location can’t be beat. If you’re reading this, I’m jealous that you’re considering going soon.

The condo was great, it had plenty of space for us and was clean and well kept. The kitchen was stocked well with pots, dishes and utensils. We even enjoyed using the vitamix! The downside was the lanai was not very peaceful to sit out on. The construction going on and the entrance being below, made it rather loud. The management company great to work with and we had no issues there. We even had broken beach umbrella and they brought us a new one the same day I let them know. I would stay again at a Maui Resort Rentals property.
