Previously a Hilton Hotel, the Kauai Beach Resort is a magnificent 4-Star oceanfront luxury resort on a secluded 3-mile stretch of Kauai’s eastern coast. Minutes from the Lihue Airport, the 25-acre resort is central to shopping, championship golf, a myriad of island activities, and all of Kauai's natural treasures.

After undergoing an $18 Million renovation years ago, the hotel rooms were converted to individually owned condotels, most of which are offered to the public through the resort or online travel sites at retail prices. However, a select few are offered on Vrbo at owner-direct rates with full privileges to the resort’s amenities! Our unit is a great location with views of the pools, the lush landscaping, and a partial view of the ocean which is just down the pathway!

We loved, loved, loved our stay here! The resort was amazing and the room was great! The bed was so comfortable, and we loved hanging out on the lanai with the gorgeous view. It perfectly suited our needs, and we would definitely stay here again. The location was central and ideal for driving to all the other areas on the island.

All of the communication with Rick was timely and helpful. He was VERY quick to respond when we were having issues with the VRBO app and downloading check in instructions. The unit is in a great location, overlooking the pool area and with a distant view of the ocean. Highly recommend if you are looking for a resort style stay with on-site amenities!

The resort is beautiful and the pools and jacuzzi were very enjoyable- the room was fine but there are a few things that were a bummer. The shutters to the patio squeal so horribly loud-the rail outside was very dirty from past guests(hair and oil and food) - the pillows were so big you couldn’t sleep with them just use them to lean on- there were no plastic cups (only glass) to use to bring water down to the pool area- you pay for parking but the secure lot was never secured -the coffee creamers were rotten- Over all the stay was fine but I’d say the owners need to actually come to the room and make sure things are working for the guest. It appears the hotel cleans the room after your stay. So for the cost I should have booked with the hotel not the VRBO.

Fabulous location; in the middle of everything. Very comfortable bed, which is crucial to us. Very clean and resort was great. The pool is stunning. Beach is mediocre, but with as much as there is to do in Kauai; we didn’t need the beach. I definitely recommend renting an all terrain vehicle if you plan to do anything off the resort. Not an absolute necessity, but very helpful for some steep roads. We used Marc through Turo and had a great experience there too. Overall; one of the best trips of our lives and the resort made it very comfortable. The on-site dinner location (Shutters) always had available tables if we didn’t eat off resort for that night and the food was good and well priced.

The listing on the site shows the property exactly as it is. It is clean and the bed is very comfortable. The grounds are beautiful. We stayed 2 nights but with so many things to do we were only able to enjoy a 1/2 day at the pool, but it is lovely.
Shutters Lounge was a nice spot to sit back in the evenings and enjoy the resort environment.
A car is a must at this property if you want to enjoy the beauty of Kauai.
Once I had booked the property Rick answered any and all of my questions. He also provided a lot of essential, good to know information and some great suggestions.

This resort was very nice. The room was a short walk to the beach, pool bar, pool and restaurants.. The restaurants also were yummy and fun- they have live music every night and dancers at the pool on the weekends! The property owner (Rick) went above and beyond accommodating my husband and myself. This was a family friendly resort, I would say 50% families and 50% couples. Pretty busy place. Lots of young children, making it hard to get a spot at the pool, but that was really okay with me since I’m not a “lay by the pool”person and would really prefer to sit by the ocean. Overall really enjoyed my stay, thank you Rick for being wonderful and accommodating !

My husband and I decided to book this property for our honeymoon in Kauai and it was so wonderful! Rick was great with making sure we had all the information necessary for an easy check-in process before our trip, in addition to extra information to help us make the most of our Kauai experience.
The room was perfect for our week-long stay. It had everything we needed and we were able to still enjoy the beautiful views, pools/jacuzzis, resort restaurants/bars, and private beach access!
We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, beautiful stay in Kauai!

The location is picturesque. Beach access is just steps away. Great pools! The only thing is transportation. A car is a must! Ubers are pretty unreliable.

My wife and I spent about a week at Kauai Beach Resort and had an enjoyable and relaxing time. Rick’s unit was in a great location on the 2nd floor, overlooking the pool. The unit upgrades were inviting with everything we needed. Even the Bellman who helped us with our luggage was impressed, in comparison to the other units in the resort. He would know!
Rick communicated with us from the beginning to end, making sure we knew what to expect at check in and at check out. He was quick to respond to any questions we had which we greatly appreciated. We would highly recommend booking your stay here. You won’t be disappointed.

We enjoyed our stay in the unit. The bed is comfortable, staff was very nice. We were expecting beach gear as the listing stated but it was not there when we arrived. It’s a good central location. Everything requires driving for food unless you want to dine at the hotel. Keurig was handy and the fridge was great. We were able to make lunches to have on the beach etc.

This was such a great room/hotel to stay in! I highly recommend it! The view is beautiful. It’s in the perfect location on the island! Rick was easy to communicate with! The only down fall we had is the shower water was randomly cold at times but not terrible! We truly has the greatest experience and will stay here again next time!
