6 of us…three couples all over 65. We came to Hilo for the Merrie Monarch Festival Everything as described. Incredible setting. Beautiful home. Huge kitchen, large outdoor pavilion. One minor inconvenience…We had some issues with water pressure the first night when we went to take showers. We called property manager first thing next morning and WOW…she was on it. Got it fixed fast and efficiently. (The PM Yevette was incredible at her job! ) Pre visit owner Juan was very responsive and professional too. Thank you for letting us enjoy this beautiful property

Villa Paradiso is an amazing, well kept property. Check in process went smoothly. We appreciated the tips provided by Yvette on local places to check out during our stay. Very quiet neighbourhood. Lots of space. Kitchen is well stocked with appliances and we loved having the ice machines. Only regret is not staying longer.

Right along the pristine beach. The condo was well furnished and clean. The resort was well maintained and lots of amenities including amazing pools and hot tubs. Can't wait to come back again

This is a well-maintained property, although it does suffer a couple of (understandable) natural issues, given its proximity to the ocean. Very spacious, there were nine of us total including a year old baby, a five year old and seven adults. We were never crowded. We had rain every day, but the house is designed nicely to accommodate outdoor activities even when the weather is not cooperating.
The pool and spa or wonderful, although the spa needs some maintenance, it has sharp edges on the steps that got us a couple of times. We had never done a VRBO, previous stays we’re at resorts when we’ve come to the islands, so this experience was new to us. While I missed having service professionals to see to all needs, a very happy stay was enjoyed by all. Be aware that the house is in a residential area that is well off the beaten path, and you’ll need to plan ahead regarding grocery shopping and restaurants, etc. and Hilo. I found a ‘local’s only’ market very close by, and made several trips to it over the week to get treats. When we return to the Big Island, we’ll look to stay here again. Highly recommend.

We rented this property because the cost was reasonable for the time of year, compared to an equitable home on Kona. We found the house fit the needs of our family of 10 very well. It is spacious, beautiful, and clean. The pool, hot tub, and outdoor kitchen were great in the evenings when we returned from our adventures.
We will note that despite being here at the end of December, it was still pretty hot in the house despite all windows open and fans running. It cooled off nicely by 12:30/1:00am. I imagine the summers here are very hot since there is no AC. The house manager was awesome, giving us tons of tips and things to do if we were looking for more. Overall, a great place!

We had an amazing time staying at this property. The entire property was very clean and well maintained. Maku'u Point is worth the short walk and the Tin Shack Bakery makes the best coffee and sandwiches.

7 of us recently stayed at the Villa Paraiso and it was a nice, quiet, relaxing enclave. There's tons of space to spread out - we did not feel crowded at all. Everything was as-advertised and clean. Very well stocked, from every possible kitchen item you'd need (including spices), to all the beach accessories you'd need for a day on the beach (umbrellas, chairs, cooler, etc). There are also several bikes for use, and an extensive library of DVD movies. A whole chest full of pool toys for the pool. Not a far drive from Pāhoa or Hilo. A good central starting point to get to the aforementioned towns, Volcanoes National Park, beaches, parks, etc. Pool, spa, lanai great to come home to and relax after a day of exploring.
Communication with both the owner and the on-island manager was great. Check-in instructions were clear and easy.
We were greeted by the manager on our first morning and she had some great recommendations for local things to do and see.
My only complaint is that we should have stayed longer!
Don't be alarmed if there are a few bugs, it's part of life on the island.

Photos of house were misleading. It needs a lot of maintenance. Billiard table is on second floor so inaccessible to family members with leg issues. No AC. Cockroaches in house. Rats in yard. Pool guy showed up often and at random times instead of when scheduled.

After two weeks at resorts we loved being able to settle our family into a house to relax & cook for ourselves. No hitches in getting into the home & caretaker was a nice source of information & easily reached. Great location to easily drive to everything we wanted to see on this side if the island. Kitchens both indoor & outdoor are great & I personally enjoyed after resort food. No A/C in house but that is no problem once you get the house opened up & breezes come through. If we get back to Big Island again this house will be a repeat if available.
