The complex is an oceanfront property and is one of the few buildings in Kihei with central air-conditioning (a must during hot Hawaiian days). Perfect for families and groups of friends to enjoy, this condo has all of the comforts needed for a memorable stay including an open layout, a well-equipped kitchen, and a private balcony that will be the perfect place to sip a glass of wine each evening. When days heat up, there will be no lack of fun to be had mere steps from home base with a shared pool, hot tub, beach access, shuffleboard courts, and a sand volleyball court on-site. Not to mention, the free WiFi and TV in the living room will make streaming movies or catching up with friends back home a breeze.
Kauhale Makai is right beside Waipu’ilani Park which includes Waipu’ilani Beach, tennis, shuffleboards and volleyball courts. Enjoy strolls in the mornings and watch the sunset in the evenings either by the beach or on your private balcony. In its Kihei location, you will be in the perfect spot to see those dreamy sunsets and feel like you have your own private oasis while still being near the best attractions on the island. When you want to grab a bite to eat, check out local shops, or stock up on groceries, hop onto South Kihei Road and you will find a plethora of local shops and restaurants to choose from. If you are feeling more adventurous, snorkeling, hiking amongst tropical foliage, ziplining, and so much more are readily available all over the island!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Good location for touring the island and great view. The unit needs painting, walls are scuffed and beds had sand under the sheets. Overall not bad but really needs a significant refresh.

We got to check in early for one because it was available so that was a plus. 20 min upon arriving we were greeted by a vacasa manager “M” who was extremely pleasant and checked in to make sure everything was ready for us and the condo was clean. It was absolutely wonderful! We had a great week on Maui and loved, LOVED our stay here.
Beds were comfortable and the pull out worked out for one extra adult. We kept up with our living spaces with everything the condo supplied.
I would recommend leaving a few extra trash bags and a mop to help with that as no swifter pads were available but that’s me being keeping things clean.
The beach stu but we made it work with what we had there.
The walk to the beach to catch the sunsets were absolutely gorgeous
I can’t say enough good thing’s about this place we all loved it so much!

The ocean view from this unit was incredible. Being able to enjoy the view during all the little "down time" moments of our vacation was priceless. The unit was comfortable and nicely decorated with thoughtful touches that made us feel at home. We loved being able to start every morning with a short walk to the beach. I would book this unit again without hesitation.

The property was billed as ‘sleeps 6’ in 2 king beds plus a fold out sofa bed. When we checked in, there were no sheets or pillowcases for the foldout. It took the local property management 3 days to get us that bedding. Vacasa also suggested that a foldout wasn’t part of the amenities. Between the times we booked and checked in, the description had been revised to remove the fold out bed- though still described as ‘sleeps 6’! Overall, very poor responsiveness by Vacasa.
There are NO supplies included with this unit - no condiments, not even salt and pepper. They did include basic toiletries, as well as laundry detergent and dishwasher pods.
