Tastefully designed and newly upgraded reflecting quality and comfort, this top floor cozy condo is nestled among the tropical treetops, with private lanai and peek-a-boo views of the ocean. My wife and I affectionately call our unit #322 the Kona Dove. It is, in our opinion, one of the more desirable units in the Kona Islander Inn complex; ours is a top-floor unit, away from the traffic noise of Alii drive and Kuakini Highway, but close enough to hear soothing surf sounds at night. Our west-and-south facing lanai has an extra-expansive and open view since our unit is also a corner unit. And my wife Therese is an artist and designer- we keep our unit lovely and clean inside!

Very clean and generous stocked unit on top level surrounded by tropical foliage. Stunning sunsets right from the best lanai of the entire complex! Host is very attentive and available.

From start to finish this experience was wonderful. The communication was thorough and prompt. The room was exactly as it looks online and the location was wonderful. Such a precious, sweet space. I especially loved sitting outside in the morning on the patio watching the sun come up. The price is fair and well with every single penny. We had an amazing time in Kona and look forward to going back.

The condo itself was very nicely decorated with unique pieces and touches that made it feel more homey and less hotel like. The location of the condo makes for easy walking to restaurants and shopping along with some beach areas. The condo felt private as the lanai didn’t face any other lanais or high traffic areas, nice peek a boo ocean view. Would highly recommend.

Just what we needed for our two night stay in Kona. We didn't need to use the small kitchen but it was nice to have it just in case. Beach chairs and cooler came in handy. Would stay again.

Our stay at Dave and Therese’s condo was beautifully organized and decorated (whimsical) like my wife does for our beach house in O’ahu.. we will definitely be back! We grilled steaks at the pool/jacuzzi area and cooked meals in the electric fryer and had tons of room in the under counter refrigerator! The room is spacious for 2 adults and if you needed a porta crib and futon for babies would easily fit.. we had 2 other couples swing by for evening cocktails and there was just enough seating for all 6 of us.
Just make sure that if you rent a car that you park early before the lot fills. We opted for walking the short ways around the town when we went out for dinner just to make sure we had a parking spot as we rented a convertible and didn’t want to tempt anyone to trying to rummage through the car. The a/c blows cold and the pass-through breeze is perfect with the doors open!
