Had a wonderful time, we stayed half of our trip in the jeep. Sebastian was kind enough to meet us at the airport upon arrival and went through how to use everything. The jeep came equipped with everything we needed. It was very windy and rainy our first couple nights and the tent held up just fine. Sebastian met us again at when our time with the jeep was up and he even gave us a ride to the rental car place we needed to get to. Would definitely rent from him again! Thank you!

This was an awesome experience! Sebastian was a great host and on time when picking up and dropping off vehicle. Everything was safe and secure. The tent went up in 5 min and was so easy to set up. We were able to experience the beauty of Maui in a camper and we felt safe the whole time. Sebastian had everything you needed to bedding, towels, cooler, chairs and a mini propane to cook eggs in the morning. Overall 10/10!

Sebastian was very friendly, responsive and super easy to work with, and the Jeep and all equipment was there and working as it should. We needed nothing and were very pleased with the whole thing. Great way to see Maui off the beaten path! Will look Sebastian up next time we’re on the island, mahalo!

This was the most fun trip we’ve ever taken!! The Jeep was clean, and ran perfectly, absolutely no issues. The tent worked flawlessly as well. We slept in wind and rain and were kept dry and comfortable. The Jeep has everything you could need: blankets, sheets, pillows, air mattress, a cooler, a grill, plates and utensils, and some other random items that other renters have left behind like a headlamp and phone charging ports.
Sebastian was great, we even had to change plans last minute(push our trip forward a day) and he was flexible so that we could maximize our time with the rental. He also was willing to meet us at the airport.
In my opinion, if you don’t have kids, this is the best way to vacation in Hawaii. I think that any negative reviews about this come from people that would most likely not enjoy tent camping whether it was Sebastian’s rental or not. Camping is camping, you’ll have to search for public restrooms and showers, eat out of a cooler, deal with the weather, set up and put away the tent daily, and possibly pay for a place to park/sleep depending where you choose to stay. We camped for free on the beach every night just northwest of Kihei other than the night we paid to camp before hiking to the top of Haleakalā. The Jeep allowed us to drive to whatever part of the island we wanted to see, and the free beach spot was pretty well centered on the west side of the island allowing us to go north or south and run into a great place either way!
Overall, we LOVED this vacation! We will definitely be returning and renting the Jeep to take the road to Hāna. Just be sure that camping is something that you enjoy before booking this trip! We camp often at home and love the simplicity of it. If you’re looking for luxury, this isn’t for you.

We stayed 4 nights in the tent, and we were wishing for more! The jeep came equipped with everything we needed - a stove, ice chest, chairs, linens, etc. Sebastian met us and got us set up and we were on our way!
Our trip started with the road to Hana, and we stayed the first night at the YMCA campground in Keanae. It was rainy and windy on this side of the island, but we were dry and warm inside the tent. We felt safe on the road itself when driving the jeep, and had a fun time pulling over and seeing the waterfalls.
The next two nights we stayed at Camp Olowalu, and the last at Punalau beach. Punalau beach was the most secluded, and it was very fun to be on the beach and hear the waves at night. We cooked often on the stove and enjoyed using all the supplies that were provided.
I would highly recommend to anyone who is okay with a little adventure! Sebastian was very helpful and a great host.

My wife and I are experienced campers and thought this might be a great way to experience Maui....Nope!!! Equipment in poor condition....Biggest issues ...No heat in jeep , 12 volt phone charger not working, various fastening straps either broken or missing . Zap straps holding lawn chair together and the ultimate deal breaker was the tent unit leaking badly..Charged top dollar for sub standard equipment and worst of all Owner will not discuss a fair partial refund or communicate at all for that matter... I am certain this was a good rental when new/newer however maintenance and or upgrading are now needed to justify the rate being charged..My wife and I were very disapointed and ended up having to incur the expense of a condo to salvage the holiday....Signed ...still wanting a refund

fun times. lots of flexibility to enjoy all of maui at your own pace. ideal to drive to hanna area, camp a night or two there, then drive back. Doing the hanna road there and back in a day is brutal. very car sick and rushed if done in one day.
negative: our substantial refundable damage deposit was held from time of booking and is returned 2 weeks after our check out date. a large amount held for over 5 weeks.
We picked the jeep up in a parking lot and key was in a lock box. No one was there to go over the jeep condition and equipment to show us all the pieces and how they worked. We did not figure out the solar charger, the solar lamp did not last long, and we never found the head lamps until we cleaned up and checked out. We were not met again to go over the jeep to ensure all was good and we would expect the entire damage deposit back and when.
the pop top tent also was missing 4 metal poles that were supposed keep vents open and supported. making for poor air flow and water shedding some nights, and loud loose flapping pieces on windy nights.
We had a great time. The details / logistics in jeep pick up / drop off and deposit hold was inconvenient and not very reassuring.
