Note: This building is currently undergoing renovation work, so sometimes it's noisy (weekdays, 8-5 only - the hours that most guests are out enjoying the island). The work will not be constant, depends on weather and what part of the building they're doing. Also, the work is happening down at the other end of the building, so you may not be affected at all. If you choose to make reservations and find the noise not to be acceptable, please contact me before your departure and a full refund will be issued for the number of nights that you departed before your scheduled checkout date.
Oahu is called the 'Gathering Place' and is home of Waikiki, Diamond Head and Pearl Harbor. The windward side retains the subtle feeling of old Hawaii, a Hawaii before the multi-story hotels and condos of Waikiki and the urban traffic, hustle and bustle of Honolulu. It still has that wonderful sense of 'Aloha' that you are welcomed as a friend.
Pat's at Punalu'u is about 30 miles from Waikiki and the Honolulu International Airport. The condo sits on a private, reef-protected beach, which is great for kids. The water is about waist to chest deep along the beach and is excellent for snorkeling. There is also a fresh water swimming pool, and outdoor shower.
You are 45-minutes from the nightlife of Waikiki or snorkeling at Hunauma Bay.
Our one-bedroom "end unit" with a huge wrap-around lanai can accommodate up to five guests. It has a full-size kitchen and a washer and dryer...though you will probably be "living" in T-shirts, shorts and swimsuits. The condo has ceiling fans, smart TV, cable TV, books to read - including guidebooks to Hawaii. We provide beach chairs, towels, a beach umbrella, ice chest and other items for your trips to the beach. All you need is your sunscreen and swimsuits.

Great location! You’re not close to the tons of traffic of Waikiki and easy 30 min to Shark’s Cove and North Shore Beaches! Lots of close great food trucks, Polynesian Cultural Center, and Gunstock Ranch for riding. Having the beach right at your door step and listening to the waves crash with the wonderful breeze was incredible! We also saw lots of turtles just 20 yards or less off the beach!!

The property host was so responsive to any questions or needs that we had from the time we made our reservation and all throughout our stay. It is an older building, however the unit is updated, the grounds (pool, lawns, picnic tables) are wonderful, and it is right on the beach! Great value!
The location was perfect, easy and quick access to North shore beaches, PCC, Kaneohe and so much more laid back than Honolulu. The airport was a 45 minute drive. Grocery store in Laie nearby where we got groceries and enjoyed making some meals at home (and saving some money by doing so)
We would definitely stay here again when we visit Oahu!

This is a old property with a good location, right on the beach. There is noisy construction going on.
The host is very helpful. I was unable to open the door due to a rusted keypad, and she fixed it right away.
The unit needs several repairs, including clogged drains, non-working remotes, non-working sliding door.
But you can swim with turtles and do some fish watching, so good overall.

Love the spaciousness of the unit and that it was a corner with the wrap around lanai. The view did it for me. The unit is very well equipped. We stayed during thanksgiving so there was no construction going on but today when we left we heard it so it something to be aware of during a normal working week. Kathy was very responsive and we’d love to be back!

The view is amazing. You can watch the sunrise everyday. There was turtles on the beach, very few people on the beach. The condo was clean. The owners were very nice. I would stay again.

The condo was clean and had everything we needed. Kathy is great to work with and is wonderful to work with. She informed me there would be some remodeling construction going on and offered to relocate us to a different condo if needed. We chose to stay here and we have no regrets. The beach was right outside and it was beautiful. The pool was great and the construction didn't bother us at all. It was about an hour drive to our excursions but that wasn't a problem. We enjoyed the drive and seeing the coast road and the mountain road. We found some nice food trucks and a great shave ice place close by. We would definitely stay here again.

Unit was very clean, well taken care of, and had everything we needed for a week-stay. I have been at Pat's for the last few years so when Kathy warned me of the construction noise, I responded that I knew about the building's on-going repair and okay with it; however, I did not expect the jack-hammering which was louder than expected. Still, I had a great time and will come back again for sure. This building's location is kinda out of the way from the maddening crowd of Waikiki but close enough which makes it so desirable for us.

Condo was great and just what we were looking for; clean, close to the beach, and close to where our family was staying. I had to contact the property manager a couple of times for questions and she answered right away and had solutions. Also, loved that there was beach gear that we could use-towels, snorkeling stuff, chairs, cooler, etc. Thanks for a great stay, we are already talking about ways to get back there soon.
