Situated perfectly for you to have quick walking access to everything in Princeville, Puamana 21D is a fabulous jumping off point for your island adventures. Anini Beach, home to Hawaii's longest coral reef and perfect for swimming and snorkeling, is just a brief 8 minute hike away on a shady path. The Princeville Shopping Center is only 15 minutes away on foot, and has a Foodland grocery store, plus enough dining options to satisfy even the pickiest eaters in your party! You can also visit the farmer's market every Saturday morning, and grab a treat before enjoying the free Saturday afternoon hula show. The Westin Resort is even closer to Puamana, only 2 minutes walking, and offers access to a Starbucks, grab and go minimart, and upscale dining at the Nanea restaurant (head over for happy hour deals from 3-5!). For even more retail therapy and dining, the picturesque island town of Hanalei is a 10 minute drive away, as are the iconic beaches of Hanalei Bay. For a quieter experience away from the crowds we recommend checking out the Kilauea Point Lighthouse and beautiful nature preserve just a short drive away.
If you prefer to stick closer to home, the Puamana complex has everything you need for a great staycation! Spend the day lounging by the pool with a cocktail (plastic cups only, please!), enjoy an evening stroll along the golf course greenbelt, or soak up a sunset from your lanai. After your stay here, you'll leave feeling relaxed and refreshed!
Want to make your way around the rest of the island? Drive time to the East Side (where the airport is located) is roughly 55 minutes, and to the South Shore is 90 minutes.
As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned.
This is a two-story home. You must be able to go up and down one flight of stairs to access the master suite.

This is a great location. I loved the beaches on this side of the island. Hanalei Beach was our favorite. We had everything we needed. Fully stocked kitchen, pretty lanai, and we made great use of the beach chairs. That was a real plus. The landlord was quick to answer questions. This is a great place to stay!

The unit was very easy to find and I was readily updated via text regarding our arrival, where to park, and how to access the unit. Parking pass is necessary for this location and it was missing from the property. The resident manager was supposed to drop off a replacement but that never happened. I believe we were lucky to not get towed because we did see a few cars getting towed during our stay.Overall, the unit is in a great location, close to Anini Beach with a great view of the ocean. The amenities are a bit dated but fully functional. It does look like the showers were updated more recently. We loved our stay and would definitely consider staying there again.

Property was neat and tidy, all amenities available as listed. Great views from the back patio and a trail to beach access close by. Wahser/Dryer sets off the smoke alarm, but all in all...a great property to stay and relax!

The bathrooms very clean but place is dirty. A lot of dust & dirt. Place needs a through cleaning- from the top to the bottom.

This property was a great place to stay. It had everything I needed and appreciated the beach supplies. I took advantage of utilizing them. I appreciated that there was a small mini cooler since I didn't really need the larger one.
The pictures do show two couches in the main sitting area, but there was only one, with two chairs. I didn't really need both couches, but more just making it known in case this was significant to anyone inquiring.

We utilized the beach chairs, umbrella and cooler on Hanalei Bay - one of our favorite days for sure. Its right next to Foodland so we cooked some meals in, the kitchen is perfectly stocked with items you need for cooking! We had meals on the back lanai and enjoyed the ocean view and the shade from the most gorgeous giant tree right out back is amazing!! The ocean breeze comes right thru. I highly recommend this property.
If there was one criticism i would say its time to change the matress upstairs in the large master suit loft area. Its only a queen and is sagging in the middle so you roll into each other. The room could definitely accommodate a king size bed, its a lovely master suit and very nicely decorated as is the whole condo, just beautiful!

Overall we had a great stay!! There were a few issues with the place, like, I think they should sort through/and upgrade the kitchen supplies. 20 wood spoons, and no ladle. Old teflon pan. Broken faucet sprayer. Plenty good for cooking a meal though. We'd come back for sure, except I saw the huge price increase. Won't be for middle class folks any more. :(

End unit steps to the path heading to super-private and calm Wylie Beach, directly across from an inactive golf course. Unit was clean, well organized, with a good kitchen. Parking was free and accessible. Management was super responsive and very easy to work with. Definitely consider staying here!

It was a very comfortable apartment, everything in good working order, plenty of space, comfy beds, and a work desk with plenty of charging outlets next to the kitchen. It's really close to the beach, the path is right across the street, and you can see the ocean from the living room and lanai. We walked over to the Westin every morning to get a coffee at Starbucks, it's just a couple minutes walk. The only sort of drawback is it's a corner unit so it's right by the road. It's not a busy road, there's nothing else out there except the Westin, but you do hear it every time a car or a delivery truck goes by. It didn't bother us at all, but we noticed it. We slept very well, it was nice and cool with the ocean breeze blowing. Kauai Kahuna was great to work with, really helpful and responsive, and everything went smoothly.
