LOCATION: The White Sands Estates is loved by locals because (1) you simply can't get any closer to Magic Sands beach, and (2) downtown is only a few miles away when you want to be there... but this area remains peacefully free of parking issues, noise & traffic. Homes in this neighborhood are close to other houses, so please be mindful of noise at night. Magic Sands Beach is 4 blocks from the front door. Kahalu’u Beach Park (less than a mile away) is a great spot for picnics, swimming & snorkeling. The park has a parking lot, bathrooms, bbq area, beach lifeguard and rinse area. Kahalu’u Bay Surf and Sea, our neighborhood rental center, offers surfing, stand-up-paddle boards, kayaks, snorkeling and other gear rentals ... pretty much everything you may want is conveniently located across from Kahalu'u Bay. When you are ready, a 5 mile drive along beautiful Alii Drive lands you smack in the middle of Downtown Kona's action.
FUNCTIONALITY OF THE HOUSE: This is an ideal property for couples or families. There are 2 bedrooms, 2 baths total. The queen-size pull-out couch in living room can also sleep 2 comfortably if needed. We provide snorkel gear, boogie boards, surfboard, and cooler.
TOP FLOOR LIVING AREA: Kitchen/Dining/Living -- All Open Flow -- connecting from the Front Porch straight through to the Rear Deck off the kitchen with a mountain view. The kitchen features granite counters and new electric induction stove, oven and microwave. The living room includes a 50" flat screen TV and comfortable couch. The flat screen TVs in the living room has Chromecast and connects to high-speed internet (300MBS) for various streaming options. Master and Guest Suites are also on this level.
MASTER SUITE: offers an incredibly comfortable Cal King, small built-in office desk w/ wifi enabled printer, walk-in closet, shower and two sinks. Tall ceilings with overhead fan help give it a pleasant, airy feeling. The master is also equipped with a 35" flat screen TV and Google Chrome for Netflix, etc.
GUEST SUITE: This room is ample size and has a comfortable murphy bed with overhead fans. The guest suite offers its own bathroom with a sink with marble vanity, bathtub and shower. Entry: The gated stairs from the driveway lead up 20 steps to the lanai and main entry doors. ...

We loved our stay here in Kona. The location is quiet, beautiful and easy to find. The layout is perfect for two couples. All the rooms, including the lanai, are spacious and comfortable for all of us. We used the kitchen and dining table daily and found everything we could ever want to prepare meals and pack for outings. We also appreciated all the beach gear and extra towels provided. Teague responded quickly and positively to any questions we had. We hope to return soon!

We highly recommend this place. When we arrived there was a card from Corrie and Teague and a bottle of wine wishing us a good time with our family.. It was well stocked and very clean. It was a short walk to magic sands beach and white sands beach that was fantastic for snorkeling..

We have had the pleasure of visiting Hawaii many times. This was one our best places to stay. Great location. Wonderful Kitchen with all the items we needed to cook at home. Decor made us feel the Island spirit. Would recommend to anyone visiting Kailua-Kona. Clean, Bright and Warm.

We thoroughly enjoyed this house. The house is clean and stocked with everything you need including beach gear. Magic Sands beach is within walking distance. We spent most mornings on the lenai drinking coffee and most evenings there as well. The house was perfect for my husband and I and our three adult daughters. There is no air conditioning but plenty of ceiling fans and floor fans. In addition the doors can be left open with screens shut for a nice cross breeze.

Teague and Corrie were very responsive and welcoming. We had a wonderful stay. Location is superb near magic Beach and wonderful snorkeling- the best we experienced. There were lovely birds in the morning as we woke and even a nest off the Lanai. Kitchen was very well equipped and easy to cook nice dinners there as well. Excellent stay.

Can’t say enough good things about both the property and Teague and Corrie’s hospitality. Everything we needed was provided. The location was fantastic and allowed us to explore what the big island has to offer. Our three week stay was filled with comfort and ease. We certainly hope to return to Magic Sands someday soon.

Cannot say enough good things about this property. My husband and I had a fabulous stay for our 4 nights in Kona. This home is in an a perfect location - nice neighborhood, quiet and the walk to Magic Sands for sunsets is the cherry on top. Absolutely love that all of the outside walls open up so you have so much air flow and access to the outdoors. The kitchen with coffee maker was clutch. Not to mention the owners have provided you with beach chairs, snorkel equipment and even water shoes :) Very close to the awesome KTA store where we would stop each morning and get some waters, fruit and snacks and be on our way to our adventure that day. This home is comfortable, nicely decorated, clean and lovely. The property owners was so easily accessible and kind. They welcomed us with a note and a bottle of wine.
I highly recommend staying at this home!
