The bedroom is spacious and inviting with stream and mountain views and its own private lanai. With doors and windows on three sides, the room stays cool and comfortable even on the warmest tropical days. The King bed is comfortable and lavishly adorned.
The tile bathroom is well ventilated and includes a shower/tub, towels and paper products. The Wailua Hideaway features a private laundry room for your convenience as well as all linens, beach towels and laundry soap.

This is the nicest place that I have ever stayed, anywhere in the world. The property is in an excellent location, and yet it feels very private. The kitchen is extremely well equipped. The hosts, Lynda & David were happy to answer any questions that I had regarding sightseeing on the island. A visitor could easily spend weeks here. I highly recommend these accommodations.

We really enjoyed the location of this property. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood while being less than a 10 minute drive to Safeway. Friendly greetings by owner upon arrival then giving us space to quietly enjoy our visit with instructions to reach out if we are in need of anything. Great for 2 adults. Was a bit cramped with our 11 year grandson in tow.

It was a great place to stay. It could be a little warm some nights with no AC but the fans did their job well enough it didn’t keep us from sleeping soundly.

Overall, the space itself was OK. It was a nice, quiet neighborhood. The unit was dated but we didn’t mind, it had all the necessary amenities. What we did not enjoy was the infestation of bugs in the rooms, weevils, etc,. But maybe when you stay in other than a modern hotel, with lush nature outside your door, insects are to be expected.
Host David was nice, the location was great with interesting activities nearby.

We cannot emphasize enough how amazing David and Lynda's home is. From the moment we arrived to the day we (sadly) left, the Wailua Hideaway was a dream! The back garden, looking out over the stream and mountain, was perfect for morning bird watching with a cup of coffee, and the house was stocked with everything you would need. Plus, it was beautifully decorated and so inviting. If we are back in on Kauai, we would not hesitate to stay here again! Mahalo, David and Lynda!

This apartment was just what we needed— quiet with views of the natural beauty of the island but close enough to easily get to shops, restaurants, airport etc. by car. Check in couldn’t be easier. The place was clean and there were even fresh flowers when we arrived.

Easy check-in and beautiful welcome flowers the hosts left for us. We had all necessary facilities we have expected, like kitchen and washing machine but also many things we haven’t expected. Very nice additions were beach chairs and umbrella and a lot’s of books about the island, with detailed description of e.g. beaches and trails that we found very useful.
The home is cosy, nicely furnished, the bed is big and comfortable. Terras/balcony has a beautiful view to the nature, where we had a breakfast every day, which was the perfect start of a day. The whole house is surounded by beautiful plants, we really felt like in paradise. The only “downside” of such a nice place is that we did not feel in a rush to go out, took us sometimes hours to get out of the house.
Location is good to explore the island - the car is necessary to have, but that holds for the whole island. No doubt, this home was the best choice we could make for our vacation in Kauai.
