We were able to relax and enjoy the quiet beautiful views after a busy weekend when our son got married.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the neighborhood to be friendly and peaceful. Our 40-year-old birthday boy enjoyed the excellent workout area with the amazing views of the whales! We also had an almost 5-month-old with us and the patio was a perfect place to sit with him on my lap and enjoy the views. Having the bedrooms on opposite ends of the home served so nicely to give the new parents/baby their space, while giving the grandma my own quiet place to read in the morning. It was really nice to have the pool passes, too! We found the best, shadiest chairs near where the access to the slide is located (near the waterfall/restrooms) and this was so helpful since we had such a little baby with us. FYI.

This is a wonderful place to stay. It is clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The pool area and bar was beautifully landscaped. We went over to another pool off premises and was there for half and hour and decided to come back to our pool. The other pool was nice but was nothing like our pool I will choose it over and over again.

This upstairs condo is well-located in the Waikoloa complex, close to the ocean with a terrific view of the gorgeous sunsets. The pool area and pool restaurant/bar were above expectations. The grounds were attractive and well-maintained. (There is a $25/day additional resort charge that must be paid at check-in.)
We stayed in this same unit in 2021. It was a lovely unit then. At that time, the furniture/decorating was significantly better. When we arrived this time, although the view was lovely, we were immediately struck by how stark and sterile the condo felt. It no longer had the comfortable living room chair or any of the decorating touches from 2021. Even the two bedrooms felt stark, as compared with before.
Kleenex was not provided but when I asked about it, the Resortica office kindly obliged. It also seemed strange that outside water bottles were not allowed to be brought to the pool. Lastly, to get a pool/workout/gate pass, you need to make a stop at the Castle Resort office on property. This was cumbersome, the hours weren’t convenient for our arrival (10am-6pm) and the woman in the office was not very welcoming. We arrived after 6 pm and couldn’t use the pool or exercise facility until 11 am the next day, because of the office hours.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but felt like we were in a hotel room, versus the lovely home we visited in 2021.

The location and property grounds were great. Lovely artwork in the house. You do need to pay $25/day to use the pool facilities. Maybe this was in the description and I missed it.
While we sincerely appreciated an earlier check in (at 2pm), there were a lot of little things that added up making me hesitate to rent again with Resortica Hawaii (the property management company for this unit). The directions left at the house were vague. They didn’t take the time to tailor them for the specific property. For example, they requested we take out the garbage but rather than saying garbage could be found by building 7, they just said “located around the property”. I don’t want to wander around looking for garbage. The place was decently stocked but there were no dish towels to dry dishes or hands, no coffee mugs, and no lighter for the bbq. The place could also use a deep clean (dust and webs on the ceiling, something on one of the extra blankets, and green gunk on the couch).
Overall, the view was beautiful from the lanai, the pool area was lovely but not enough shade, and while the Hilton pass was a boon, we’ve stayed at other locations in the Kohala Coast we like more. We got a good rate for off season but I would hesitate to pay the higher rates.

My husband, daughter, son and myself had a wonderful time. The condo is quiet, clean, spacious and has a beautiful balcony with an ocean view. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return.

Literally the best place we have ever stayed, this place didn’t skimp on anything. The kitchen had everything, the mattresses were newer and perfect, television has all the channels and apps, the WiFi was awesome, the view couldn’t be beat. The only problem was we couldn’t stay longer. Really, the best we’ve ever stayed.

This condo was perfect for my two teen daughters, my husband and me. We've stayed at Hali'i Kai 2 other times and love this complex. The garage has everything you need for a day at the beach and we used the Hilton day passes once too. Enjoyed the 2nd story views and even saw breeching whales from the lanai. All around relaxing, awesome condo and vacation.
