Kihei is centrally located in South Maui and is home to many condos and residential areas. Menehune Shores is located in the Hotel District which is zoned for short term rentals. The Road to Hana, Haleakala, the resorts in Wailea, the lava fields on the way to Ahihi Preserve are an easy drive from Kihei. Our building is directly on the water with beaches adjacent to our lawn. Experience paradise as you sit on your lanai with nothing but sweeping views of the azure waters of Ma'alaea Bay and the Pacific Ocean with the gentle sway of graceful palm trees in the foreground. Watch the sunset every night on our lanai or meet fellow guests and owners on the roof with a beverage and cook on the grills.
Our large, light and bright, beautifully appointed condo is situated on the 4th floor in Menehune Shores, Kihei. It features 3 large bedrooms (2 oceanfront bedrooms with queen beds and 1 bedroom with twin beds facing the imposing Haleakala volcano and the Maui sunrise) and 2 full baths. All linens and towels (bath and beach) are provided. An updated fully equipped kitchen, hairdryers, great room, 2 flat-screen TV's and separated laundry room with full sized washer and dryer -- all the comforts of home are yours as you experience the wonders of this magnificent island. We are directly on the water and generally have sea breezes that cool the condo. in addition, we have installed rolling shutters on the lanai which keep the condo cooler from the afternoon sun as well as protection from heavy rain or strong winds. The remote to operate the shutters is located on the wall by the oceanside guest bedroom. We do not have A/C and reduce our rates in the summer.
Amenities include a heated pool with gas grills and picnic tables nearby, waterfront access, shuffleboard court, and free parking (one car during high season). FYI - the POOL IS CLOSED THE WEEK AFTER LABOR DAY for annual maintenance and the nightly rental rate is reduced accordingly. The pool is OPEN for the remainder of the year after this important maintenance. There is a rooftop garden complete with gas grills and picnic tables which serves as a place to gather with others to enjoy magnificent sunsets and whale watching in the winter. If you are hosting a large gathering, a full kitchen is available to rent for your event. Menehune Shores is a very well maintained building with lush lawns and beautiful tropical plantings.
We engage Tracy Keenan as our on-island agent for our rental guests. She provides cleaning, maintenance, guest information book, and pre-rental inspection of the unit to ensure everything is in working order.

The condo was a perfect fit for our needs. It was very clean and comfortable. The check in process was very easy. The owners were very good communicating with us. The views of the sunset were magnificent. It was fun to see the turtles come up to the beach at night. We couldn't have picked a nicer place to stay.

It was plenty of room for all of us, and nicely equipped with beach supplies. Everyone enjoyed the lanui for our morning coffee and watching the sun set. We liked the fact that we had a beach on the property without crossing the road, and not crowded. The pool was our go to spot when the winds came in the afternoon.before going out to dinner.

It’s great having a good Indian restaurant on site.
The sunsets were stunning. We didn’t find the lack of A/C a problem as it is really windy in the afternoon and we always had a breeze running through the condo

The views from this condo are amazing! We woke up to hearing the waves and and looking out of two of the bedroom window to see the ocean right in front of us. The grounds around the condo are pristine and the management on site make sure everyone feels safe and secure at this location. Gail made sure we had all the information needed to make check in a breeze!

Simply amazing place in Maui! Clean, comfortable and easily accessible to everything in Kihei and Wailea. When we arrived the place was spotless and better than advertised. The view is actually even better than advertised!
This was a perfect place for our family of four and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place in Maui.

Plenty of space, fantastic lication and amazing view. Its right on the water, so the beach was just steps away. It was a fantastic home base for our family for our vacation, and a nice place to relax between all of our beach outtings and excurssions. We look forward to staying again in the future.❤️❤️❤️

We really enjoyed our stay in this condo. The West family was very responsive and we had no issues. The recently added storm shutters were helpful in limiting the afternoon heating on the lanai. We had 3 adults and 3 teens and we were all comfortable. It is right on the water (love the surf) and near so many options. They even had treats for us when we arrived! Truly a lovely stay...thank you for sharing your home with us.

The views are incredible, the water wonderful with sea turtles sun bathing close to the shore. This condo has everything we could have needed or wanted. The host provided a beautiful array of fresh Hawaiian fruit and nuts, cozy bedrooms, chairs for the beach, etc. They are also communicative and welcoming in every way! We would love to come back here for another stay! We've booked several VRBOs in different places across the U.S. This one is by far the most hospitable and comfortable.

Our stay was great - the unit was comfortable, clean, and well equipped. The view is unbeatable and the building was great for our young kids who enjoyed the beach and the pool. We would love to come back and would recommend this unit to anyone!

The TV turned on sometimes but couldn't get anything to watch. The freezer broke so the door only opened 3 inches. Internet was spotty regardless of whether on Apple or PCs wifi would just stop. While there was a breeze to cool things down, never was able to get more than 3 hours straight to sleep each night at a time due to the heat and humidity. Couldn't hear the ocean because we needed to keep the fans on. Probably would have had the same problem if we had AC>
Looking forward to a good night's sleep now that I'm back home.
We received several very polite reasons, and rationalizations, things didn't work but nothing was fixed. Admittedly none of these things were deal-breakers. Just won't be doing this again.
