The first photo in this listing is YOUR VIEW from our 5th floor lanai. We believe it is one of the best 2BR views in the building. The second photo is a map showing our location compared to several other places including the Airport which is much closer than West Maui. Kihei was completely unaffected by the Lahaina fire and rebuilding. We have wonderful restaurants, Luau's, shopping, golf, pickle ball (walking distance) and access to a nearby harbor that has all the normal excursions usually found in Hawaii. Malls, big box stores and discount stores are available 25 min north near the airport. Very Important: Our building is also built and zoned as a hotel with all the appropriate safety features.
Our second home features 2BR/2BA, Full A/C, full kitchen, off-street parking for one car, overlooking the Pacific Ocean so you can enjoy the sunset every evening right from your condo. There’s a King size Sleep Number bed in the front Oceanside bedroom and (2) singles that can be made into a king in the second bedroom. Both bedrooms have black-out curtains available. Each bedroom and the main living area have their own Mitsubishi Mini-split A/C unit with individual controls for each. There are two flat screen TV's, a DVR with streaming, private very fast WIFI, washer/dryer, dishwasher, and all full size kitchen appliances. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the cooking gear you will need and an ample supply of dishes, glasses and silver-ware, toaster, mixer, rice cooker coffee pot, Kurig and ice maker. If you want, you can even use our cloth napkins (with rings) and place mats to set a very nice table. The glass top table inside seats 4 and the table on the lanai also seats 4 so there is plenty of seating and space for everyone to choose. We provide (6) beach towels and a few beach items including coolers and sand toys for the kids. There is a PaknPlay and booster seat for your use as well. Off-street parking for one car is included and we have an excellent Indian restaurant (with a small bar) that overlooks the water on the first floor.
Your home-away-from home is just s few steps from the heated pool and the beautiful Pacific Ocean. No roads to cross and no stairs to navigate. Three elevators and ADA ramps throughout insure that everyone will be able to enjoy every amenity we offer including the beach. One elevator even goes to the roof where you’ll find a beautiful BBQ, outdoor eating area and a panoramic view you’ll remember forever. A second BBQ and eating area is conveniently located next to the pool and beach.
The building supports energy sustainability with a solar heated pool and a large solar array on the roof that provides enough electrical power to supply all of our common element needs. Though we don't have EV charging stations on the property yet, there are several in the area.
COVID-19: We thoroughly clean the room before you arrive and provide a variety of sanitizing items for your use.
Menehune Shores is right on the water with typical Maui sand beaches. It’s in a family-friendly, relatively quiet part of Maui but just a mile from shopping and restaurants.
Bring your binoculars so you can watch Humpback Whales in season, easily keep an eye on the kids at the pool, our sheltered beach and enjoy the gorgeous Maui sunset every evening....All right from our lanai (porch).

This property was fantastic. We could not have asked for anywhere better to stay. The condo was fabulous and outfitted with everything you would need to enjoy a stay in Maui. The park right next door allowed for viewing the sea turtles lounging on the rocks during the day and coming onto the beach in the evenings. The only bad part was having to leave. If we ever return to Maui, this is the only place we want to stay. Thanks for a great vacation spot and for allowing us to use your paradise getaway.

Condo property was on the beach making it easy access to the beach. Local to all shopping and eating and surrounding beaches. Property owner had pretty much everything we needed. Great view from 5th floor location. Would definitely stay again with this property.

First the windows are so clean- when I walked in the unit looking at ocean I didn’t think there was glass there! View is better than photos. I lived walking down to the little quiet secluded beach both early morning and sunset. Ocean water was perfect. (Wind started about 2pm ever afternoon so morning swims were better for us) condo had everything needed. Very please. Owners are great with communication, ideas, and thought of so many things (like including beach toys, adding beach towels, kitchen has nice pans to cook in, and so forth) Would stay again.

Very impressed overall. The posting and pictures were accurate. The view from the Lanai was perfect, the rooftop area was a perk. The fish pond was wonderful, allowed my kids to be free in the space without having to worry so much about the surf from the breakwater surround. They did see turtles every time they went out, I think there are a few that like to call the rocks home.
This condo had everything you could need. Lots of towels, bedding, beach supplies, A/C, ceiling fans, extra fans, the best stocked kitchen I have ever used, including Tupperware for leftovers or picnics.
I would highly recommend Unit 505 at Menehune Shores.
Cons: Bathrooms could use a deep clean/refresh. The A/C unit on the Lanai expels very warm air when it is running and still some all the time when A/C is off. Not a real issue but in the evening when the kids were in bed and I wanted to sit on the lanai but also cool the interior down it was not pleasant and then during the day when sitting out on the lanai it could still be felt when AC was off. (not sure why). This was an issue for me and my mom (COPD) but maybe not for most. I found a very strong scent in the Master bedroom (front bdrm ok), it was not an odor but a strong air freshener-type smell. It was almost constant and even when I had all windows and doors open it was still there. I never found the source, but the onsite manager and Jim were very responsive to my concern. We just couldn't stay again for that reason. Mahalo

The owner thought about a lot of little things to make our stay great. The black out shades, the Sleep Number bed, all the appliances, pots and pans and kitchen gadgets. There were instructions for everything. The view is amazing and the turtles were amazing to see right outside the condo.

We have had the most incredible vacation! Our first trip to Hawaii couldn’t have been more perfect and the condo had a big part in a lot of our special memories! My seven year old and my five year old learned how to swim in the pool! The fish pond was an amazing area for my kids to enjoy the ocean. The sea turtles were icing on top of an already wonderful cake! We have enjoyed delicious food and great hospitality from locals! Kihei was a perfect location - we did a day trip to upcountry, a day trip to big beach, and a day trip to Hana! But the most amazing days were right at the condo!

An abundance of information of things to do. If you’re a pickleball player, courts are walkable from the condo (going south).

It was a nice surprise the turtle sanctuary was in front of the condos and employees stopped by to give us history of the man-made pond. Overall we were pleased with the location and the condo itself.
