You will also have access to the Mauna Lani Owners Private Beach Club which has a safe and protected swimming cove (great for snorkeling), lifeguards, cabanas, lounge chairs and restaurant.
Within Kulalani and only a 2 minute walk from Hale Papa Kea is one of the best recreation centers in Mauna Lani. This was a great place to relax and slow down for a week. We really enjoyed our stay, the unit is so clean and had everything we needed to prepare delicious meals and beverages. Eating outside, listening to the birds, watching geckos and mongoose, napping, stargazing, swimming/snorkeling, hiking...ahhh!

A lovely (underperforming) unit. Easy fixes. The couch may be the most uncomfortable piece of furniture I have ever encountered. Several window shades, a shower door and one window in need of repair. Stayed in other units nearby many times and have not encountered these issues.

Great hosts, very clean & well stocked, updated property in a beautiful setting. Having access to an outlet to charge our golf cart rental would’ve made it perfect. We always rent a golf cart in mauna lani as it makes the vacation. Other than that it’s great stay.

Comfortable, clean, superbly equipped, spacious home in beautiful , quiet neighborhood in a fantastic location. Close to so many wonderful beaches, to Kona, to Waimea, to the Hawi area, but away from the crowded madness of the resort hotels of Waikoloa.
Why anyone would choose a Kohala resort hotel over a VRBO is a mystery to me. The privacy, the space, having a kitchen, a washer and dryer, all the beach equipment you could need, parking just outside your door rather than a 5 minute ( or more) walk away all add so much to the overall enjoyment of a vacation.
But this property is the nicest Kohala lodging we’ve stayed at!

The unit is lovely and equipped with just about everything one might want for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The complex grounds are well-maintained, and the fitness center and pools are excellent. The Muana Lanai development is peaceful and tranquil, ideal for those looking to refresh and get away from it all. Craig, the host, was gracious and accommodating and an excellent communicator.

We just returned from a two week stay at this wonderful property. In past visits, we have stayed once at Mauna Lani Palm Villas and multiple times at the Fairways. We thought that the Kulalani property was by far our best experience. The townhome itself is immaculate and very well stocked. The owners have thought of everything to make for a relaxing stay.
We did a lot of cooking as restaurant prices are high. The kitchen had everything we needed and the outdoor grill was great! There were also everyday supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, kleenex, dish and laundry detergent, hand soap, etc. (basically anything you might need during your stay). This was very much appreciated as we have often had to buy these staples in other vacation rentals.
The location of the unit is ideal ... a short walk to the lovely pool area where there is a large family pool and a lap pool separated by a covered seating area. There is a very nice exercise facility as well. The view out the back of the townhome is of lush green tropical plants ... very quiet and serene with nice, comfortable furniture on the lower and upper lanais.
We made use of access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club ... always an enjoyable place to sun and swim.
The owners were very responsive to any questions that we had both before and during our stay.
