Wailea Ekahi 51B is a luxury high end condo in the highly sought after ocean front complex Wailea Ekahi Village. We purchased this condo and have completely remodeled it . The results are stunning. This is the largest one bedroom two bath plan in Ekahi. We have converted it into a sophisticated upscale condo complete with everything necessary for you to simply enjoy and relax or elaborately entertain.
Ekahi 51B is a ground floor unit in a very private and quiet location. The condo is open and bright and the extra large lanai is a serene and tranquil space to enjoy the beautiful ocean and lush floral views! The sunset view from our condo is gorgeous!
The gourmet kitchen is large and upscale with magnificent granite counters and elegant cabinetry. It has been fully equipped to even satisfy a creative chef.
We have added two built in ready-made bunks to the unit to allow more space for your family. Each bunk has its own reading light and 32' flat screen television.
The bathrooms are lavish and modern with an organic feel to them. Both bathrooms have marble walk in showers with adjustable shower heads for height and spray. The master bath houses a dressing counter and the marble shower has a multi jet spray with three body jets as well as the main adjustable head.

WAILEA EKAHI VILLAGE
Ekahi means number one in Hawaiian and that is exactly what this friendly beachfront resort is. It is located on the sunny south shore of Maui. It has 34 acres of beautifully landscaped mature tropical grounds and home to exotic birds and flowers, two herb gardens, as well as lime, papaya, and avocado trees. There are four swimming pools. The main pool is beautifully located at oceanfront with stunning panoramic views for watching sunsets and the thousands of whales that migrate to Maui each year. The main pool is heated and has a covered beachfront pavilion with ice maker, full kitchen, bathroom with showers, grills and gym. All pools have loungers, tables and chairs for your leisure. For activity we have pickle ball courts and shuffleboard.
Our resort sits on one of the finest beaches in Maui, KEAWAKAPU Beach. It is known for its great swimming conditions and excellent snorkeling. A great beach for kids as the undertow is not strong. It is perfect for boogie boarding, sand castle building, exploring the reef, jogging, or romantic strolls. Just a few steps across the white sand in one direction is Wailea's five mile oceanfront boardwalk with hotels, spas and award winning restaurants. In the other direction you will also find dining and a place to enjoy pupus and fun drinks while watching the sunset.
Just a 10 minute walk from our perfectly located condo is the Shops at Wailea, a premier shopping and dining destination. It is home to more than 70 boutiques, shops, restaurants and galleries.
Wailea also boasts 3 golf courses and tennis club.

Enjoyed our week in this condo. It is the largest 1bedroom we have stayed in at Ekahi. Loved the oversized lanai overlooking the ravine - nice private space to do morning yoga.
Condo was well stocked with almost everything we needed. A few plastic wine glasses could be added to the kitchen collection. We appreciated the books and games that were provided.
Owner and property manager were both accessible and helpful.
We have stayed at Ekahi many times. The pool pavilion and beach can’t be beat!

The Ekahi complex is lovely with beautiful gardens and nice pools. The easy access to the beach is a huge plus of staying here. This unit had a pleasant view of the gardens.
The unit was well equipped with almost everything you could need in the kitchen, but it does need a few repairs and some maintenance work done. As most reviews mention it is a little dark and the under cabinet lights don’t work.
Our biggest complaint was due to the dishwasher. The closing mechanism broke on day 6 of our 9 day stay so I phoned the property manager as instructed. She didn’t call me back so I called her again the next day and she said she would send a handyman over to have a look. That day the handyman came by, took a look at the dishwasher and then left.
We never heard anything back from either the property manager or the handyman so after another 2 days I messaged the owner here was her response:
"the plumber has ordered a part but that part won't arrive to the island for a week. is there enough dish soap for washing? If you run out please let me know and I will hire the cleaner to deliver more."
I think she should have sent the cleaner over to do the dishes. It still wasn’t repaired when we left on day 9.
I would stay at the Ekahi again, but I don’t think I would book this particular unit.

Visited with my wife and teenager. We all loved it. We followed up our stay with a couple days at an expensive resort and everyone liked the condo better. Tips: (1) check out the beach equipment sooner rather than later. There's lots of great stuff in there. (2) If you're looking for bigger waves, we liked Chang's Beach, a 10 min drive south (sadly, no showers there) or Big Beach - though the waves there can be TOO big. Loved our stay and would absolutely recommend!

The condo is located near the turnoff to go into the property. It has a partial ocean view, and it's about a five-minute walk to the large pool and amenities near the beach. The property in general is kept up well, and the pool area is well maintained and has lots of lounge and table seating, and some umbrellas. We enjoyed sitting by the pool when not on the beach.
The condo itself was well equipped. The kitchen had just about anything you would need, and the owners had a nice supply of beach chairs, boogie boards, toys, etc. The condo has a nice deck and covered lanai area. As some reviewers have mentioned, the condo is a bit dark partially because of the dark walls and dark cabinets and granite in the kitchen. We thought the previous reviews were a bit inflated, because the some of the furniture and decor could use refurbishing. Although we probably would not choose this condo in the future, we did have a nice stay. This was at least our sixth stay in Wailea, and our first stay at Ekahi.

I usually stay at Ekolu Village but couldn't find a place there. Ended up here in Ekahi. The gardens are beautiful and mature, but the complex is more dense. That took getting used to. But the complex is nice, as is it's beachfront access and pool.
A couple things: when I first reserved the condo, the host came back with slightly higher price than VRBO said. When I asked why, I was told it was passing on the fee for the owner to transfer the money out from VRBO (or something like that). In many years of using VRBO I've never heard of such a thing. But it worked out to ~one hundred $. I was afraid to lose the place so close to my departure, so I sucked it up. If it had been a little further out, I would have walked.
The unit is nice, especially the lanai. It is a little on the darker side as some have commented, but that's just part of being a downstairs unit - but it's also nice that you don't have to walk up stairs just to get in the front door. There's an outdoor closet with chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, ice chest, snorkel gear, etc - so be sure to check it out before you buy or rent a bunch of gear.
Lastly, the unit is not at the end of Malukai Ln where the VRBO map shows it. It's actually right off Wailea Alanui Dr. At first I was super irritated as traffic noise drives me crazy. But, in the end, I never once heard a car go by. But I suggest you look at an Ekahi map to see where this unit (or any Ekahi unit) actually sits.

Large one bedroom with bunk beds off the living room, good for smaller children. Great kitchen with every possible cooking utensils, dishes and pots. Overall, the condo was upgraded several years ago but it is dark. Patio furniture could use some updating. Lots of beach toys, local property manager was very quick to respond to a concern. Good AC, 2 nice bathrooms and appliances are all great, nice to be able to do laundry. Mahalo!

What a beautiful property and perfect location!! Amazing kitchen thoughtfully equipped with every appliance and gadget that anyone could ask for. Sleeping arrangements for a family is exceptional. Pool and beach pavilion were perfect for dinner and sunset enjoyment. Would definitely come back again! :)

I’ve been looking forward to this trip for nearly a year! When I saw this property was available, I jumped on it. The property is well maintained, clean, has all the amenities, is walking distance to the beach, close to the Wailea beach path, has fantastic pools and “neighbors.” We couldn’t have been more happy with the property, the location and our entire stay. It was perfection…and I really hope we can return one day. We will definitely plan our any future trips around this property’s availability. I have already recommended it to friends!
