Walk through the entry gate, and find yourself in the middle of your own personal "resort". A lush tropical yard greets you as you walk to the front door of this unique traditional beach-side cottage in the up-scale Lanikai neighborhood. The professionally landscaped property creates a welcoming and cool setting even on hot summer days. You just might have trouble pulling yourself (and the kids) away from our beach-entry pool to get over to Lanikai beach with its powder-soft sand, 200 meters away. The pool is always a great hit with young and old with its "lagoon feeling". This combined with this property's beach-side location, makes enjoying the unique feel of Lanikai a highlight.

Windward beaches with their powdery soft sand and gentle protected waters are among the best swimming beaches in the world. The Mokulua Islands off shore have been included in numerous advertisements and movies.
This home is one of the last few remaining Hawaiian-style beach cottages offering its renters an exceptional setting and truly unique Hawaiian experience. The house has an open floor-plan with an extensive patio deck, which is ideal for island-style indoor-outdoor living and delights with a casual elegance. It even boasts a rare fireplace (for Hawaii).
It is updated to today's standards, and tastefully decorated, while maintaining its traditional charm. There are two master bedroom suites and one bedroom with an adjoining bathroom off the hallway. All of the bedrooms have wall-unit air conditioning (no central air). The kitchen has marble counters and modern appliances. Hardwood floors throughout are easy on your barefoot feet.
We welcome families with children. Our typical group is 4 adults plus children. Our max. is 6 adults at any time.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
1. We accept one stay once per month. Please inquire about your desired length of stay. The rental will be exclusively reserved for one rental party for 30 days, and not re-rented to another party, even if the original party vacates early.
2. Local by-laws do not allow us to pro-rate for shorter stays. The rate displayed is the rate charged.
Rates and fees are subject to seasonal change, special discounts, how many bedrooms are rented, and/or shared pool use (offered January through March only). We give discounts. Please inquire.
3. If you are unsure about your guest list, or your guest list changes, please contact the owner before making final arrangements with your guests. Occupancy is limited to the maximum number of occupants on the rental contract for each 30-day booking period. We require the main renter, who signs the rental contract, to be physically present throughout the rental period. Please inquire if you have questions.
4. Separate cottage/caretaker’s house portion at the other end of this 16000 sqft property from the main house, is not available for rent. It may be used by the owner and/or caretaker as needed....

This was my first visit to Hawaii. This property was superb. Nice neighborhood and easy access to beach and other amenities. Beautiful setting, lots of outdoor space and private. Owners were very communicative and accommodating. I would return and highly recommend!

Heated pool. Two blocks from a gorgeous beach. Air conditioning. Fantastic house and yard with a great Hawaii vibe. Excellent owner. What could be better? I’d give it 6 stars if I could!

This property and the location are pure pure perfection. Everything about our stay was top notch and I would not change a single thing. The location in Lanikai is close to the beach but far enough away so that the area is private and quiet. The pool is gorgeous and one of our favorite things to do was to drink our coffee or tea in the early morning's by the pool in the pool house. All of the amenities that anyone would need for a stay at the house, beach or the pool are on site and in excellent condition. We are already dreaming of our return visit.

Beautiful home and spectacular yard and pool. House is a little dated but adds to its charm. My only complaint worth mentioning is the comfort of the beds and pillows. Had to go out and buy our own pillows, and the mattresses are very hard.
The best feature of the home is the caretaker. He is absolutely wonderful!!! It’s like having your own personal concierge. He is so knowledgeable and helpful. I can’t say enough good things about him!!!
Location of the house is wonderful. Very close to the beach, and a beautiful neighborhood to walk. Had a wonderful month!!!

This is a beautiful home surrounded by shady lush grounds with an historic banyan tree framing the mountain peaks - in an excellent location. The lagoon swimming pool and hot tub were perfect for our family. It is maintained to a very high standard and there is an on site caretaker who is very helpful with whatever we needed. The property is very well equipped, even a little red wagon to take your gear to the perfect beach a block away!

What a lovely home in a lovely neighborhood. The house is beautiful and the grounds truly are exceptional. I know sometimes you worry that the pictures are deceiving but the photos were spot with this place. My family loved the backyard area, the pool, the hot tub, the beautiful flowers, the birds. The neighborhood is amazing as well. We knew very little about Oahu and honestly just stumbled upon this place. But the location is perfect. Quaint, not crowded beach just a few hundred yards away. A phenomenal hike right behind the house. Shopping and restaurants 10 minutes away. Way away from the craziness of the tourist district.
I can't say enough good things about this place. Not sure we will have the chance to spend a month in Hawaii again but if you get the chance you won't be disappointed if you stay here.
Added bonus is the property manager (Topher). So kind, so helpful and full of tips for how to make the most out of your vacation!

We had a wonderful stay. The home is a garden paradise and everything we could ever want in a vacation celebrating our 25th wedding gift anniversary. We enjoyed the three outdoor sitting areas (the cabana is especially nice when you want a shady cool place) and the pool is spectacular. The backyard is at least 5-10 degrees cooler than the beach because of the great Banian tree and foliage. The house is well outfitted and very comfortable. Beds, bedding and pillows were great. AC in the rooms and fans were perfect for those of us who find anything over 75 degrees to be hot. The kitchen is well stocked, including spices.
As many others have shared, Topher the caretaker is incredible. He takes great care to offer local suggestions and anything else that will make your stay enjoyable. While he lives on property, he is completely isolated from the main house and yard. If he needed to take care of something like meet the landscapers or clean the deck off he would always text and prearrange a time that was convenient for us. He also saved me when the neighbors were restoring their pool (jackhammering) and I needed to work. He sent me information on co-working space that worked perfectly. He also talked with the neighbors about the construction schedule so I could plan accordingly. He is a such a gem! (And Ghirr)
The home also has great beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers and anything else you may need. We can’t wait to come back!

Our family of 4 stayed here for over two weeks and were thrilled with the experience. I would not hesitate to book here again (in fact I hope we get to!). The house is well taken care of and had a perfect blend for us of feeling like "home", but also not losing that feeling that you were in this spectacular place since the house has so many Hawaiian touches - like the openness, the windows and light, the wood, and the decor. The yard was magical. It is incredibly well maintained and was like a private retreat with several areas to sit and soak it all in. The cabana area was perfect to relax, but still supervise kids swimming the pool. We really appreciated the beach and pool equipment provided also.
The owners were great with communication and as other reviewers mentioned, the caretaker Topher was incredible - responsive, helpful, with great tips to get the most out of the experience.
