This property was exactly how the pictures portrayed it. It was a great place to relax between all the different activities. It was within walking distance of the beach.

Nice little property. Clean and simple. Perfect size for four people. We were adults. The walk to the beach was not bad. Beds were comfy. Kitchen was good. Shopping close. Don’t bother to rent a car. Public transportation and Uber was great. 1bathroom a little challenging but we knew that going in.

Woukd have been nice to not have to pay for parking. It wasn’t cheap for parking. But we figured out places that didn’t cost.

small, outdated, couch is horrible, roaches, very limited utensils/glasses/ plates etc. , rough neighborhood, internet/tv was out most of our stay, air conditioner is horrible, pool ice cold, & the cops were always there, handicap entrance is deplorable you have to go to the basement thru a bunch of creepy hallways & past the dumpsters to get in/out on the other side of the building, the residents are very weird and nosy, and the best part is that my handicapped husband had to walk up 5 flights of steps several times because the elevator was not working!

The space in the property accommodated us well but there was bugs, the carpet was dirty we had to buy our own seasonings trashbags paper towels the couch needs to be upgraded it’s old and it’s not comfortable at all. We made the best of what we had because we was celebrating a graduation and birthdays.

I was excited to take my 77 year old mother and my 16 year old daughter on their first trip to Hawaii. Unfortunately, we got a rental in a sketchy neighborhood with some shady characters walking around and screaming at all times of the day. I'm from Los Angeles so I wasn't worried for myself but more for my kid & mom. This is not what I expected on our tropical getaway from The Concrete Jungle of LA. The description of the building should have included this.
In addition, the building is old and its stairs & carpet are stained, ripped and smelly, which again, put it in the description.
On one hand, the inside of the place was really cute. My mom got her own room, my husband and I had our own room and our teenager bunked on the couch. Everyone was happy to have their own space. The kitchen is well stocked with enough dishes and utensils.
The first night, we ordered some groceries and food & watched TV (plenty of channels and options!). The thin windows don't keep out any noise from the street, the pool below, or pool area from the adjacent building. There is a hospital nearby so emergency vehicles/sirens go by like every other hour.
On the other hand, was the living nightmare!!! There were ROACHES in the bathroom and kitchen crawling over counters and spreading bacteria. I couldn't sleep a wink. We tried to tough it out but we were killing too many. That, for me, is a deal breaker. The owner let us know that they were aware of the problem, they spray every month and that's why the pests were coming out, but the building manager could set traps if we wanted (put it in the description).
We got a hotel room and left the property early.
The price for the rental should be invested in some double paned windows and sliding door to knock out the noise, fix the water leak damage in the bathroom, get new carpeting, power wash the outside and get rid of the roaches.

The location and number of rooms were the definite draw. We did not want to be in the middle of the Waikiki strip.
The property managers were honest about the ambient noise (street traffic, hotel across the alley, AC noise, etc.).
The floors could have been cleaner.
Parking was a good value, but better directions or a map for the parking would have been helpful. On day one it took me 40 minutes to find my designated spot (R25). I did not know it was in a third gated lot that must be entered from Ala Wai Blvd.

Cute property at a great location. The space is efficient and classy with nice local art. A bit sparse in the kitchen but we were able to cook for six. The bedrooms are set up well for a bit of separation from the kids but definitely still close enough.
