Overall the property is nice and worked for my long stay. There were a few issues but Kathy was very responsive and got us fix up quickly. The only negatives would be when the upstairs unit is rented... they can be rather loud "walkers" and the beds really could use new mattresses. They have added pillow toppers but they are way too soft & no support. Those are the only reason for a 4 star instead of a 5. I would absolutely rent it again..

Quiet beautiful place and a little up the road were the clouds every morning. The temperatures are not so high as it’s at medium elevations. What an awesome place. Waimea is a good starting point for exploring the island in all directions.

This place, overall, has been fine. After staying in two places on the Big Island just before coming here that we’re amazing ( charming, beautiful both inside and out), this one does not compare. But, it is clean, spacious, and acceptable. Pros are a well-stocked kitchen ( for cooking or not), well-stocked bathroom. The driveway and outside look quite tired, as do the beds and bedding ( the beds are like sleeping in marshmallows). If you like really soft beds you’ll like them. There is a nice welcome basket on the table with chips and candy. There is an apartment upstairs and as a consequence there is noise if it is occupied that comes through floors. Carpet up there might help with that. There are also ice chests on the porch that can be used, as well as new snorkeling equipment and beach/lawn chairs and umbrellas. All in all, more pros than cons.

We were looking for an affordable longer term rental in this particular area. The property met our needs. The owner was very responsive to our requests when needed.

Nice location. Almost daily drizzle. Temps 70-75 vs the beaches 80-90. Not fancy, but was very clean on the inside. I would stay again

The property was quaint in the lovely town of Kamuela and well appointed. My needs for an extended stay was accommodated; however, it was cut short due to the dampness/musty smell (that couldn’t be removed by the dehumidifier) and safety concerns of some windows inability to lock. This was communicated to both the owners and property manager and I immediately received responses to rectify the situation and they were very understanding.

Hadn't seen my dad or brother since before COVID and it was time. They live in Paailio so Robyn's place was the perfect place, convenient, and love being near Waimea where it is cooler. Also was pleasantly surprised that the apartment had a de-humidifier. I am used to the mildew and musky smells from the humidity in Waimea and having the de-humidifier was a huge plus. It was cool during our visit, so the de-humidifier acted as a heater and was a bit loud, but once you closed the bedroom door, wasn't a problem. Very comfortable and well stocked. Thank you Robyn.

Good place to stay. Tried to use the grill, but it was out of propane. The place is a little musty, but being that it is in Waimea, that is understandable. The bed was really squishy and not supportive. However, overall, it was a clean and quiet place.
