The living room/dining area contains 2 queen-size sofa sleepers, 4 bar stools at the snack bar, cable TV, a fully equipped kitchen , a bathroom and direct access to the lanai.
The bedroom has a king bed , cable TV , a full bathroom, direct access to the lanai, and lots of closet space. It also has a separate exit out of the condo
The Whaler is located directly on the world famous Ka’anapali Beach in the heart of the Ka’anapali resort area, steps away from a fantastic shopping village, Whalers Village, where you can enjoy the wide variety of restaurants, galleries, & shops.
The Whaler has a beachfront pool & barbecue area. Also available is a fitness room, sauna, tennis courts, and the Spa at the Whaler, where you can relax and be pampered while in paradise.

The Whaler is in a great location for the beach, restaurants, and stores. It has everything you need close enough that you do not need to drive anywhere if you don’t want to.

The location in Kaanapali was perfect. The condo had everything we needed for a fabulous Hawaii vacation. The staff at the Whaler was so pleasant and accommodating. And the beach is so very beautiful. We’ll be back.

The place felt like it needed to be deep cleaned. The location of the property and the condo buildings themselves were very nice.
When we arrived, there were things left in the refrigerator, trash in the trash can and the AC in the living room didn’t work. It felt a little dirty walking into to but we were trying to make the most of our trip in the most beautiful place in the world. As we settled in we noticed stains on bed sheets and towels. Again, just little things that we were willing to look past. They did come and fix the AC on day 2 but it broke again on day 4. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because they did come fix it each time. It wasn’t really until our second to final night when we found a HUGE roach again in the kitchen. That was pretty much the tipping point where I had to voice my displeasure with Kevin the owner. He did end up offering to put us in a new unit for our final night, that was very very nice of him to offer because he could have not done anything at all. Unfortunately I was traveling with 2 older people and having to pack all of our belongings and move to a new building for one night just didn’t make sense for us so we declined the offer.
We ended up not getting any kind of compensation for the nasty experience we had. Beware of staying here.

Pros:
1) Location. Steps to beautiful Kaanapali beach and next to Whaler’s Village, which has several shops and restaurants.
2) Size. The unit accommodated our family of 5 comfortably.
Cons:
1) Dated. Unit needs to be updated (e.g., new furniture, cabinets and paint.
2) Cleanliness. We found several hairs when we arrived at the unit.
All-in-all, a very enjoyable stay. Would stay there again.

My wife and I will try to book The Whaler every time we travel to Maui. Great location, great amenities, very kind staff. All was perfect.
