We stayed at Laie Palms for one month over Christmas and New Years which was winter in Hawaii. It was warm and calm enough to swim and snorkel at the beach everyday. We loved the little town and locals of Laie. The house was big enough for seven of us and could easily have fit more people. There was plenty of essentials provided including towels and linen. A great washing machine and dryer fit for a large family and plenty of beach equipment and toys. Waking up to the view everyday and being able to just walk straight out to the beach was amazing.

Absolutely loved the property. The sunrise on the beach is breathtaking. The beds were comfy (especially in the master), and it was nice renting both the upstairs and downstairs units. There were plenty of boogie boards, snorkel gear, towels, sunscreen, etc. to have a fun day with the family at the beach. Also, the host was very responsive and helpful during our stay. Would love to stay here again!

The house is just as advertised, and had almost everything we could have wanted. We had a family of 8 ranging ages from 15 to 76. The location and beach access was amazing!!!! Pros: The beds were comfortable, plenty of plate/flatware, towels, water toys. Cons: A few upgrades are needed, Toaster (did not work); Pans (largest pan was stainless steel) and everything stuck --to the point of almost ruining everything put into it, furniture is as pictured, but not comfortable for a family to sit on. It is more suited for a porch, not living room. Questions: I called the property owner number to ask for the garage code for the keypads.... no one called me back, we worked around the issue but I was disappointed with lack of response. I also wanted to let them know, when we arrived both garage doors were wide open. Jungle Foul (Chickens)... we are early morning people.... but 4am did make me grumpy with the 20+ chickens next door. It was cute for the first day or two....
Overall we had a fabulous 1st Extended family trip to Hawaii and the house was everything we needed.

My family of 6 stayed for 5 days. The location is great if you're looking for a good beach area and driveability. The waves were a good size for my little kids, even in the winter season when the North Shore waves are giant in comparison. We saw maybe 5-6 people up and down the beach every day. I picked this spot so we could have easy access to a beach for me and my kids, since my husband doesn't like the beach/sand and we never had to make a day trip out of going to the beach. We later stayed at the Aulani Disney Resort and I preferred this beach. The sunrises are beautiful. It's across from the PCC, which we spent a day at. We could have spent more than one afternoon there. Skip the luau but definitely go to the Ha Breath of Life Show. Foodland is close, as well as the Laie Temple and everything on the North Shore. There is so much to do this side of the island within a 40-minute drive. We visited the Valley of the Temples and the Byodin Temple, the chocolate factory in Wailea, Sunset Beach to watch the surfers, the ʻEhukai Pillbox Hike, the Macadamia Nut Farm, and the Dole Plantation. So much more we could have done too.
The house was super clean when we checked in and check-in was easy with a lockbox and key inside. Less great things: we're supposed to park in the garage but our minivan didn't fit. I emailed the owner directly the day we arrived with a question and never heard back. This is probably just a part of island life I wasn't prepared for but wow, there were a lot of flies/gnats/fruit flies/beetles and even ants and a lizard inside the house. We were very careful about keeping the door closed and keeping food contained and away from windows, etc., but there were a lot of bugs for my taste. The house has a few good brooms and I swept up every day dead flies. No air conditioning, which is normal for the area; some nights were more comfortable than others. We shut our windows at night so the roosters wouldn't wake up the kids at 4:30 am (there are a LOT of roosters next door). Appreciated laundry access in the garage. Lots of beach supplies, including water shoes, boogie boards, life jackets and even a toddler hiking backpack. Would definitely stay again for the location. It was a relief to go to a hotel after this though and have fewer bugs and more a/c. However I think this felt like a more authentic island experience.

Can’t beat the ocean view. Everything is within walking distance including Polynesian cultural center, restaurants and shops.
We visit Laie frequently and look forward to staying in rental again.

There was some confusion checking in but Natasha took care of everything for us and was very nice. The house was as pictured, and the location was awesome. Not a far drive from teds bakery, and food trucks, and the store is very close. If you like McDonald’s which some of our group did, it’s right across the street! The house comfortably fit our large group and all around had a fantastic time!
