We have loved vacationing at this resort for years, and are very grateful to have the opportunity to share our Maui home. Papakea is a low density, oceanfront resort, located on 13 tropically landscaped acres, 1 1/2 miles north of Black Rock on Ka'anapali Beach. Our direct oceanfront condo, Papakea A109, is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, fully equipped corner unit with lots of natural light and split air conditioning system, cooling both the living area & bedroom. Our condo is located on the ground floor, with convenient, adjacent parking. It boasts ocean views, and opens directly onto the lush tropical lawns, just 30 steps to the ocean! It faces northwest, which allows for the morning sun, yet it stays cool throughout the day. Open the large glass sliders onto the lanai, set with a dining table and 4 chairs, to access the beach, manicured lawns with meandering Koi Ponds, fountains, oceanfront pools, spas, putting greens, shuffleboard, & gazebos. 2 lighted tennis & pickleball courts and BBQs are located on-site for your pleasure. Our condo sleeps 4 and is designed to make your vacation stay as if you were at home. The newly upgraded bedroom features natural light during the day, and black-out woven wood window coverings for nighttime privacy. The room is outfitted with a new Cal-King Mattress, whisper-quiet Split A/C unit, dresser, closet, and ceiling fan. The living area has a newly installed Split A/C unit which circulates quiet, air conditioning throughout. The living room offers a new Queen pull-out sofa bed with 7-inch foam mattress, new 55" wall-mounted flat-screen TV with upgraded cable, free WiFi, ceiling fan, dining table, 4 chairs, & breakfast bar with stools. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, with no tub. Our fully equipped kitchen features all new stainless steel appliances including a 4-burner glass-top stove, oven, large fridge and freezer with an ice-maker, microwave, and even includes a dishwasher! We love to cook, and keep the condo stocked with all of your culinary needs including pots, pans, bake ware, coffee maker, blender, toaster, and even spices! We have included a washer/dryer and a small safe for your convenience. We love the outdoors, and in the closet you will find beach chairs, umbrella, an ice chest, and golf putters to test your game on our resort greens. This condo is on the far end of the resort. It makes it nice because you don't have people setting up chairs in front of you. A pair of stairs to the beach are right in front of the condo as well. Condo has a pull out couch, washer and dryer as well as fans in the bedroom and living room. Dishwasher, ice machine in fridge, coffee machine, blenders, beach chairs, umbrellas, and a boogie board to use. Very nice. I would stay here again. Owner was very responsive and answered all questions immediately.

Nice condo on ground floor with good view. They had everything we could have wanted. The only missing item we would recommend is to provide a broom so we could sweep up. Air conditioners in living and bedrooms. Not sure why but you have to set the air at 74 degrees or higher. And we were worried that this would be too hot, but the room will be cold set at 74. The thermostat must not be very accurate. So no problem there.

The location is perfect! Watch whales from the Lani! Condo is well stocked with everything you need! The owner is wonderful! Would recommend this condo to anyone! Will definitely try to get back here again!!

We've stayed at Papakea multiple times in different units and always had a great time. This outstanding condo's location on the property guarantees significantly more privacy than many of the other units. Being on the ground floor meant easy access to outside without having to deal with elevators or stairs. The owner, Barbara, was always friendly and easy to work with. My wife and I look forward to staying here again in the future.

We had a perfect relaxing vacation in A109 it had all we needed and bed was very comfortable for good sleep! Very quiet end unit and grounds were beautiful.. we even had a small sandy beach right out our door.. owners were so nice and made sure our stay was amazing and it was!❤️🌴🐳

We have been staying at Papakea for the past few years and love the location. Our unit in building A was just steps from the ocean. The condo was nicely furnished with updated decor in a Hawaiian theme-none of your aunties hand me down furnishings in this place! The mattress was firm (maybe a bit too firm, but a foam topper would be a nice add on for aging backs), the kitchen was well stocked with necessities for meal prep, but you need to supply your own condiments, etc. The property manager, Barbara, was wonderful to work with--very responsive to a minor issue with the toilet, and she had great follow up. I would stay in this unit again, if available.

My husband and I had a lovely stay! The condo was in a great location and had a beautiful view of the ocean. It was nice to be on the first floor and be able to walk out to the ocean in seconds. The condo was clean and had everything we needed in it, even snorkel gear and beach chairs!

This unit is the best location! The grass outside is perfect for the kids to play! It's on the far side of the property so there is tons of privacy. The unit was clean and comfortable. The air condition add to the bedroom was a must! It had everything we needed for the week. Barbara was very communicative and went out of her way to make sure we had the prefect stay. I have stayed at Papakea many many times and will stay with Barbara again!

Our place for the week was very nice - comfortable, pretty, and well equipped with absolutely anything we’d need. It was steps from the water so we could sit and enjoy the whales, waves, and sunsets! Perfect getaway for our anniversary!

Ground floor and ocean front is a magnificent way to spend time on Maui, rain or shine. Access to small beach is steps away. Corner unit has lots of light and ocean view from the living room couch. Well stocked unit with cooking items and towels.
