Subtle details include antique wrought iron and brass light fixtures, built-in leather furniture, eight ceiling fans, seven sky lights, full-sized washer & dryer, two-person spa tub, and even a forty-square-foot shower room!
In décor furnishings and amenities are featured against a cheerful, relaxed, island-style backdrop. Over the Lanai entrance a world-class surfboard by a renowned Maui shaper welcomes guests. Please be advised that there are some drawbacks to this lush, natural, tropical environment. We're in the tropics where friendly lizards and insects thrive, and this is an open-air plantation cottage. Somehow, lizards and insects seem to find their way inside even though the cottage is fully screened and pest-control measures for unsavory critters are in place. It's all part of the Hawai`i experience!

The property is rustically charming but has some maintenance issues. We had trouble flushing the toilet in the second bedroom; the disposal in the kitchen sink didn’t work; one of the cabinet hinges came loose. Figuring the lighting was almost impossible. To use either bathroom you need to walk through a bedroom - not ideal. It’s a good rental for 4, six is a stretch

This bungalow was even better than the pictures and description! Beautiful art and traditional hawaiian decor and design, lovely lanai, peekaboo views of the ocean, an amazing walk-in shower, spacious open flow kitchen, dining area, and living area, and swimming pool right out the front door. 10 minute walk to the glorious beaches! We will definitely return! Mahalo

This unique and spacious cottage is located near the pool which made a fun vacation for our multi generational family. However, we had difficulty with few of the appliances and refused to use the huge tub due to safety and cleanliness issues. Upgrades are highly recommended.

This bungalow was even better than the pictures and description! Beautiful art and traditional hawaiian decor and design, lovely lanai, peekaboo views of the ocean, an amazing walk-in shower, spacious open flow kitchen, dining area, and living area, and swimming pool right out the front door. 10 minute walk to the glorious beaches! The Dolphin Cottage was absolutely adorable! All open air which made it a smidge warm at night, but when there’s a breeze and a fan, it was perfect! The pools on the property are pristine! Most people didn’t use the pool while we stayed so it seemed like a private pool to us. Crystal clear and minimal chlorine so it was easy for the kids’ eyes.
The beach is seriously two minutes away. It was GORGEOUS! We snorkeled and swam almost every day. So so so many beautiful colorful fish, turtles and other interesting and mysterious creatures. The highlight of the trip! So many awesome adventures you can go on as well.
The property manager was fantastic! Our initial flight in had some hiccups (dang United Airlines!). Ryan and Emmett were very understanding and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised at their thoughtfulness!!!
Everything you need is available in the cottage and if you need help - Emmett responds to a text in short order! Highly recommend visiting!!! We would come back anytime!

Pros and cons to this stay. Pros are it's big, the location is great; I did like the shower a lot! Cons are there is no AC. Yes, I realize many places on Maui do not have AC. The descritions reads "open air" and it just didn't register with me at the time of booking. So if you are a person that is remotely hot natured, don't book this in May. Maybe January is a better month. We spent the first night to see if we could handle it and decided to move to a closeby resort the next morning. No, I didn't contact the manager about this as I know it was my fault. The freezer needs some attention. The freezer door doesn't slide easily out to get ice. There is some organization in the kitchen that needs addressing. Should the manager wish to contact me privately, I'll share the points of interest. I wish this place well, it just wasn't for us.

The whole family, 7 of us were together (including a 3 year old!). The house was a perfect fit for us. There was plenty of space to spread out and not feel on top of each other. My husband and I used the lanai space for our "bedroom", which ended up being the coolest space in the house! Took some reworking to move fans around and change the ceiling fans to shoot down to get the house cooled off, but we were resourceful! There seemed to be some remodeling going on in the house, handles missing in the kitchen, and cabinets only half painted. Some appliances were not working correctly, the dishwasher leaked and refrigerator froze our food- when we adjusted it to a warmer setting- the freezer leaked! Again, we as a family loved our stay, and enjoyed many great memories together! Having the pool right out the door, and the beach just down the road was a great bonus! We watched many sunsets right out the front door- the perfect ending to a day in paradise!

Their was roaches inside the property, saw them crawling on my clothes on dresser, towels were dusty, bedding was not clean, stayed outside for two hours trying to get an answer from property manager on unit number to be able to get in, couldn’t get a hold of anyone, very exhausting after a long flight.
