This condo is a spacious 1,400 square foot air conditioned condo with oversized windows and two lanais to help guests enjoy the surrounding beauty of the resort. Master and guest bedrooms with respective bathrooms provide privacy, while plenty of closet space and a washer and dryer accommodate visitors with extended stays. The two twin beds in the guest bedroom can be merged to make one king bed. The living room sofa also converts to a hide a bed. Everything you need is in the kitchen for preparing and eating all your meals. Enjoy WiFi, two cable TVs (living room and master bedroom), stereo, DVD player, books and beach accessories kept for all guests. A ground floor unit with no stairs makes the condo easy to access.
Poipu Kai Resort is on beautifully manicured lawns and gardens in the Poipu Beach community. Guests have access to swimming pools, Jacuzzis and tennis courts. Through the heart of the resort is the greenbelt, a scenic walking path which links the Grand Hyatt and Shipwreck Beach at one end, and Brennecke’s/Poipu Beach Park at the opposite end. Within a few minutes drive of the condo you have access to Poipu Shopping Village and The Shops at Kukui'ula where you'll find a wide variety of casual and fine dining along with dozens of stores to shop. A 5 minute drive will get you to Old Town Koloa with more shopping and grocery stores, along with a bank and post office. For golf enthusiasts you're a couple minutes to the beautiful Kiahuna and Poipu Bay Golf Courses.
The Regency swimming pool is just steps away from the condo along with a jacuzzi and covered gas grills. The condo is away from the street to eliminate noise and other traffic nuisance. The condos windows and lanais allow trade winds to blow through the condo, while reducing heat from direct sunlight. In the absence of trade winds enjoy the comfort of air conditioning throughout the unit.

We loved our stay; the condo was very spacious and welcoming, near the beach with great boogie boarding and nice snorkeling was only 7 min walk. Near everything needed to enjoy our stay and all the things we could think of to make things easy and enjoyable. Oh and the condo is next to the pool so our kids were very happy about that.

This place was beyond all expectations. Spotless, great location, and super private. While it is a short walk to the beach we ended up driving so we could easily cart all the chairs and umbrella (provided by the host!). Poipu beach has a ton a free public parking. Even in busy days it only took a couple minutes to find a spot. The condo had everything else we could possibly need as well. Even little details, like the Britt’s filtered water in the fridge, were all appreciated. We both agree if we come back to this island we are staying here for sure. Bonus perk: Of all my fave snorkeling adventures over the course of our Hawaiian vacay, Poipu beach was by far the best. I was swimming with a sea turtle on either side of me at one point. Make sure you pack snorkel gear!

Great location, walking distance to Poipu beach. The wagon, beach chairs, cooler, and sand toys were a huge bonus. We are a family of 5 and condo was spacious and super comfortable for all of us. Loved having the pool and hot tub on the property too.

The location was convenient to everything. Clean and all needed supplies were provided. Size was surprisingly larger than expected 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms made this very good for our family. The shared grill at the pool was really nice. Would use this again if we come back.

Location is fantastic. I short walk to the beach where you can choose between two areas. One for swimming, boogie boarding waves and one for snorkeling and observing the turtles that sleep on the beach!
If you don’t have a good time, that’s on you. 😀

The condo worked out good and Joel is the best host we’ve had. We had stopped for groceries and it was before the 4:00 check-in time. He said it was fine to drop them off early. The housekeeper was done so we were able to drop everything off and basically start our vacation early. Short walk to beautiful beaches - would stay there again!!

This place was everything we could have asked for in a stay in Kauai - the place itself was more spacious than the pictures let on, they have everything you could ask for on the property for a great beach set-up, and it's totally walkable to Poipu Beach!
Poipu is so incredibly baby friendly. We were in such great company with kiddos at the beach, pool, and playground! In case you're thinking about traveling with infants, a few specifics that I was scanning for in reviews for our trip with a 14mo:
- The walk to the beach is paved and was a breeze with the stroller. The condo also comes with a wagon to bring to and from the beach - a total lifesaver.
- While there was no pack and play or high chair, the VRBO owner pointed me in the direction of great baby gear rental places that do pickup/drop of - so easy.
- We had our baby in a pack and play in the room with two twin beds. We brought portable blackout shades that we didn't end up hanging up because we thought the curtains in the room were enough. If your kid needs TOTAL black, you might want to pack some but for us this worked great even through 2 daytime naps.
- This is a ground floor unit. I found this super helpful for getting in and out with a toddler.
- There are two steps between the kitchen and the living room. This could be tricky with a smaller baby who can't navigate stairs as easily.
Overall, this was an unforgettable family vacation. I'm already sad to be back on the mainland!
