The views from this remodeled and upgraded (April, 2013- Present) ground floor direct OCEANFRONT unit are spectacular, with the clear blue-green ocean vista and radiant sunsets over the islands of Lana'i and Moloka'i. Step off your lanai and you are only 25 feet from the ocean where turtles feed in the rocks just steps from the Magic Beach! Located in the Kuleana resort with only seven 2-3 story buildings, enjoy the best of Hawaii with it’s tropical beauty and unsurpassed views. Kuleana is considered one of the most beautiful and impeccably maintained oceanfront properties on West Maui, offering luxurious living in a peaceful, serene setting. Seasonal humpback whale watching is available directly from our lanai using the high power binoculars provided in this unit (or take an even closer look with a Pacific Whale Foundation cruise from Lahaina harbor). In addition to the multitude of sea turtles, other sea life such as dolphins, manta rays, eagle rays and monk seals can be seen right outside your door. The property has two beaches and a sea ladder, all providing easy entry into the crystal clear ocean for snorkeling in the private snorkel cove, surfing, paddle boarding, boogie boarding (yes, the waves are good!), kayaking or simply relaxing in the water. A coral reef exists straight out from the property, enhancing the snorkeling, surfing, kayaking, and boogie board activities.
This unit was purchased in April, 2013 and completely remodeled as our second home and vacation rental in paradise. All new tropical furniture and decorations have been added to compliment the softly colored walls and insure complete submersion in the Hawaiian experience, with careful attention given to comfort, safety and storage. The top of the line plush firm Cal King bed in the bedroom provides relaxing comfort and support while being lulled to sleep by the distant sounds of the ocean. Although the ceiling fans in the livingroom and bedroom are usually sufficient to pull in the ocean breezes and keep the unit comfortable, the bedroom has a new air conditioner that's large enough to cool the entire 500+ sq ft interior space on those few days in the summer when it's hot and/or humid. The bedroom has ample storage for personal belongings, with a large mirrored closet, mirrored dresser and 15 inch high bedframe to allow storage of large suitcases and extra linens under the bed. The open and well lit bathroom has a large vanity with marble counter/sink and vanity to ceiling mirror, as well as an adjustable makeup mirror. The full size shower with solid glass door has a built in seat, which together with the ADA compliant toilet provide ease of access for older occupants. The kitchen includes lots of counter space with the built-in island, as well as all the necessary appliances (fridge/freezer, stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, toaster, coffee maker, blender), glassware, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, pots and pans, storage containers and non-perishable foodstuffs for those who want to prepare some of their meals themselves (or at least morning coffee and evening Pina Coladas). There is a small table with two chairs next to the kitchen for inside dining (or working on puzzles or other table based games), but we enjoy most of our meals on the patio table and four swivel/rocker chairs on the lanai. The livingroom has a comfortable queen size sofa sleeper (with 6 inch thick mattress), two swivel rocker easy chairs, coffee table...

The location of this condo is amazing. The condo was somewhat unclean upon our arrival with crumbs on the counter and the coffee pot was dirty. No extra toilet paper present in the bathroom however we did find extra packages under the bed the day before we left and had already purchased some. The bed was very comfortable and the owners were very responsive to some of the issues we ran into. Overall, good experience.

Right on the beach! You can walk to the beach or drive 5 min down to the popular resort area. Place was clean and the view is INCREDIBLE. Watched the sunset every night on the private porch

We stayed here during the week when Lahaina was burned down to rubble. We were not able to change our return flights so we stayed for the whole trip. It was a devastating period of time for the locals who were heavily impacted. For us, it was both heart-wrenching and heart-warming. During our stays, we met more locals than tourists, with whom we had awesome conversations and supported each other.
The property is in an excellent location. We enjoyed the beautiful sunset every day. It is literally a few steps away from the ocean and the kids swam every day. We also spotted green turtles. It is only a few minutes' drive to the other beaches including Kaanapali and Kapalua Bay. Local stores and restaurants are all within walking distance.
The condo is nice and clean. It has AC in the bedroom, ceiling fans in both the bedroom and the living room, and one upright fan. However, when the power went out, we realized that we actually didn't need them. We left both the front and back doors open and the wind was cool and nice. Supplies in the property are sufficient. There are grills in the property complex so even with no power, we managed to eat well.
We were very touched that Kerry refunded our payment as we didn't expect it at all. He has also set up a GoFundMe account and made donations to the Kuleana employees and their families who lost their homes.
It was an unusual and unforgettable trip. We want to send our thankfulness to Kerry, our neighbors and the volunteers. Mahalo!

This place is a dream beach view house ..it combines the beach view with the garden view with ocean view and also you can see the mountain of the other island in the view.. this place had it all and it’s very quit .. inspiring and entertaining . The neighbors are very nice and they’re not nosy . You can stay in front of your place without finding someone bothering you or sitting in front of you or hiding the view. That was contrary to my expectations!
Cons :
Although it was clean but it had a lot of ants .. very small and fast and bites a lot ants.
So it was not very comfortable but since we don’t stay all the day in the place , it was adaptable situation.
Over all Very recommended.

Had a blast staying here for a week. We got to snorkel with turtles every day and met many interesting and friendly condo owners and renters. The unit provides a low key experience with beaches that are never over crowded but quick access to all the amenities the resorts offer near-by. Unit was clean, well taken care of, and had beach equipment to use. The proximity to the beach cannot be beat!

We stayed here for six nights and had a very good time. Condo was clean and as described. Bed was very comfortable and bath was clean and updated. Kitchen was also clean and had what we needed. The property overall is well-maintained. Both kitchen and bath had supplies like condiments and first aid stuff which was appreciated. The closest beach is small but awesome. Tons of turtles and good snorkeling. Fairly active surf so you have to pick your times to go in -- high tide had very high surf. The renters next door were on the loud side, but not the owners fault. Just luck of the draw. The entry doors and lanais are very close to each other so if the neighbors are noisy, you will hear them. . Had stayed in the same building 2 years ago and had no issue. The front desk is also helpful if it's a problem. Bathroom had no body wash or shampoo dispenser so BYO. Also, kitchen sponge was left from previous renters and was very smelly. Used pool and laundry which were clean and well-maintained. Overall, a great stay!

Location, location, location! We booked a condo because we were taking a longer (more than 2 weeks) vacation, it's close to amenities, and because we knew from experience that this is a superb snorkeling spot.
Condo is ocean front, with sunset views and lighted torches every night. This is an attractive condo, the property is well maintained, and the beach areas are both excellent snorkeling spots.
The AC unit and fans were a plus and the bed worked for us. The kitchen is well appointed for cooking and the grills outside worked great. Everything was as expected and our stay was marvelous!

This property is beautiful, it has everything you need and checked all the boxes for us. We expereicned whales, turtles, great snorkeling, surfing and breath taking sunsets - all just outside their patio doors. You are close to all the amenities you need. We stayed April 7-14.

Clean condo with fully equipped kitchen. Location, location, location!! Quiet, best view on Maui. There are turtles and whales every day that you can see while sitting on the lanai.
