3 Bedroom, 1 Bath unique, cozy, relaxed, clean and comfortable beach house located only a block from the beach! Walk over and learn to surf or enjoy each morning with a stroll on the beach. Our home is perfect for the laid back local Maui vacation. Our space is about providing a local experience. We are located in a lovely, quiet, local neighborhood that is one block from the beach. This Main House includes an attached, separate space for us, the owners. As well there is a cottage in the back where other guests stay. Guests have their own private areas. We are within walking distance to Kalama Park, the Cove and Kukui Mall as well as shopping and restaurants.
Our listing is not child-proofed and contains tripping and falling hazards. It is also located close to a shared driveway. Due to these safety issues, our listing is not suitable for children under 12 years old (no exceptions.)
4 guests is the maximum. We do require all guests to arrive at the same time and before 9 pm as we will greet you personally and we are required to keep disturbance to the neighbors at a minimum. It takes a minimum of 1.5 hours from landing to arriving at the house without any delays so your flight would need to land by 7:30 pm. We recommend landing as early as possible to make sure you can arrive at the house for check-in well before 9 pm. We can generally check in earlier than 4 pm. We cannot accept check-ins after 9 pm.
We have filtered water and ice, so purchase a reusable Maui water bottle or bring one of your own. :)
We like to give privacy to our guests during their stay, so if you need anything, texting is the best way to communicate. However, if you have lots of questions, we are here to answer them!
A short term rental agreement is required once a booking has been made. The Guest making the booking must be staying at the property, no 3rd party bookings are allowed. There is not an outdoor BBQ grill or use of grill on site.
Policies:
- Maui County Regulations: Quiet hours from 9 pm until 8 am. If there are noise complaints, your rental contract will be cancelled with no refund. No parties, events or gatherings are permitted. Registered Guests only allowed on the property at any time. If you have friends or family in Maui, visiting or gathering will have to be at other locations.
- Guest is required to sign a Short-Term Rental Agreement accepting all policies, listing the first and last names of all guests and certifying that all Guests have read and agree to the policies. ID required at check-in.
- Let us know if anything is broken or damaged during your stay.
- Remove outdoor shoes before entering the house.
- Minimum age to book the property is 25 years old.
- Close all windows and doors when running AC and turn off all AC units when leaving the house.
- Laundry hours are from 8 am to 9 pm. Do not use the machines after 9 pm or before 8 am. Do not wash shoes or heavy items, overfill or use laundry pods. Keep sand out of the machines.
- Check-ins: Must be before 9 pm. Check-ins are not available after 9 pm. All Guest must check-in before 9 pm. Guest understands that if they arrive after 9 p.m. they will need to find other accommodation for the night and arrange to check in the next day.

We had a very pleasant stay. Everything was exactly as described. We first were scared about all checks and requests but they make totally sense. If you are looking for a party vacation, do not book Chez Maui. If you are looking for a serious, well organised, comfortable stay on Maui, this will be best address for you.
I loved the easy and supportive communication with the host.

This little home has a wonderful patio to enjoy your meals and all the basics needed if you’re saving money by not eating out. I give it a solid 5/5 for cleanliness and the hosts are very organized... It was nice to use the beach towels and chairs they provided out at the beach.
My partner had great sleeps as he prefers a firm bed but I tossed throughout the night. I gave all 3 beds the goldilocks test and they’re “just too firm for me”. All in all, a nice and easy place to stay.

We enjoyed staying at this beach house. The location is close to everything you need in Kihei, but is quiet and private. We enjoyed having breakfast on the front porch before heading to the beach or on a road trip.

We had lots of visits and excursions and then enjoyed returning to cook dinner and share it on the porch. Groceries etc are convenient nearby. Hosts were easy to reach and communicative.

The owners live on property and are constantly in your business. This property is perfect for an older couple, that stays inside. Owner likes to stay out front, watch every move, and constantly intertupts you. I have never had someone so uptight bother my family at a property. I would not recommend to anyone that has a family.

This was the first time we went to Maui and the house was exactly what our family of six adults plus a five month old baby needed as a home base.
Quiet neighbourhood and only one block to a lovely beach!
The owners were very nice and helpful.

If you prefer to avoid resort living, and want get a taste of the actual lifestyle of Maui, this is where you should stay. This functional home situated on a quiet street was PERFECT for our family of five (kids aged 5, 7, and 10). We relished every meal and every cup of coffee on the patio. Walking to the beach a block away in the morning for a quick dip to start our day was idyllic, and the funky shops and restaurants at the heart of Kihei are a ten minute walk away! It was also a perfect base from which to explore, and fall in love with Maui as we did. We will be back!!
