We offer a Fun Place to stay that really is close to Everything in Waikiki & 1 minute walk to Beach!
This unit features breathtaking views of Diamond Head, Kapiolani Park and Waikiki / Queens Beach. Enjoy Sunrise and Sunsets, movies on the beach, the roar of the lions from the zoo. The unit features a queen size bed w/ contemporary Island furnishings & new Air Conditioner
There's an amazing rooftop communal balcony area that is perfect for sipping a light wine and enjoying a few appetizers before you head off to dinner - Its one of my favorite spots for capturing sunsets.
Then there's your own private lanai/balcony - great for enjoying your morning coffee, sit back and watch Diamond Head crater change color during the day as the sunlight highlights it in different ways.
Take a stroll through Kapiolani Park up to the Tennis courts - They're well maintained and well lit at night to get in a few extra matches.
There's a Starbucks just on the corner near us plus a great place to grab a packed lunch if your planning on a day at the beach or hiking. (Tucker & Bevvy is the name).
Our guest host is always on hand to answer questions and there's also a full-time concierge in the lobby to assist with tours and waterfall hike suggestions.
Fancy just grabbing a burger? We have one of the best burger places on the island located in our building - you may want to avoid busy periods as the line can get pretty long - Well worth the wait though!...

We spent a week here for our honeymoon and had the best time! Great walking location to everything you need in town, plus ocean and park views from the balcony. The room was small so we kept luggage underneath the bed, but the fridge had lots of space for drinks and food, so it was everything we needed. Be sure to have a morning coffee or watch the sunset up on the rooftop too!

The unit was a bit run down. Not much space but good for two . Excellent location to beaches and shopping. Ample space for cooking if needed .

The property was as described in the listing and was great for 2. It was a block from Kuhio beach and 1/2 mile from Waikiki Beach and International market. The balcony had a table and 2 chairs which worked fine and had a view over the zoo and park as well as a full view of Diamond Head. We brought a lot of food since the Honolulu restaurants are pricy and there was everything we needed including a 2 burner stove top, 2 door refrigerator and microwave, osterizer, toaster and lots of pots and pans. We stayed a week and look to return for two. The host was very responsive to a few minor requests. Some reviews said there was noise from a bar on floor down. With the patio door closed at night we did not hear anything. There is also a lovely, large sundeck on the 10th floor and sunset views at least in January. We would recommend for 2 people and will book again in a year or two if it is available.

If you have a short stay in Honolulu this is a great unit because it’s a perfect location but it’s not super comfortable or spacious. The unit is in what seems to be a converted hotel with a property manager at the front desk who may or may not be there at check in but there is a cute “I’ll be back soon” sign giving you comfort.
The unit itself has a comfortable bed but the AC blows right on your head so you can’t really have it on while sleeping (okay for us because it was wintertime and comfortable with just having the patio door open for a breeze). At night it can be quite loud with party buses that play loud music, and party-goers (the unit is right at the end of Waikiki beach area). The bathroom is a good size but the shower doesn’t drain and you end up having a tub full of bath water at the end of your shower.
For parking, I recommend the on site $30/day parking because it’s very convenient and there is security cameras and staff watching it. The neighborhood is right across from the zoo and there is cheaper parking there but it’s a hassle to pay and not have in/out privileges.
Overall I would say LOCATION is the best asset of this unit. If you want comfort and size I’d stay somewhere else.

We really enjoyed our stay. All staff and hist were attentive and helpful. Location was amazing, across the street from the park and zoo. We could see the ocean from our balcony. We were on the 3rd floor which had some noise from the bar on the 2nd floor. There are beach chairs and a boogie board available to use. Plenty of towels and beach towels. I love having a kitchen so we could go to store for some groceries. Loved it for our first time to Hawaii! Thank you!

The pictures on the website do not accurately reflect the property’s current state. It is bright and sunny but the reality is it is dark and dingy. The property is in need of a refresh (linens seemed grey when they should be white and the couch and accent pillows seemed like they have seen better days) . We found the walls to be in need of painting. Particularly the bathroom. The bathroom is very dated and it wasn’t the cleanest. The bed was uncomfortable for us. This is a personal preference but it is a foam type mattress so it isn’t for everyone. The condo itself is very small. One very small closet, no where to hang a long dress. Two people can barely walk around together. Note in the pictures there is no room for nightstands next to the bed. That gives you some perspective. The air conditioner location is right next to the bed which was unfortunate. We did reach out to the property manager and we’re advised there is to be a plastic shield on the air conditioner so it doesn’t blow in your face however it wasn’t there for us. They also advised the property would be getting a deep cleaning. We appreciate the responsiveness of the property manager. Until the property is refreshed I wouldn’t recommend. The location is great. Nice and close to the beach. Hulu’s and the street below can be loud so if you are a light sleeper, this isn’t the place for you. We were not bothered by it.

Room: The room was tidy and clean, however, this room is TINY. The photos make it look like there is an adequate amount of space, but there is not. My husband and I couldn't even walk side by side through the room. The bathroom was decently sized, but the actual room was so small. The air conditioner is right next to the bed so it was blowing in my husbands face at night. The bed 100% did not feel like a queen sized bed and it was VERY uncomfortable. The middle was completely dipping in and we slept awfully every night. The slider door is broken, so this make shift lock was placed on it and the door doesn't even fully close. The chairs on the balcony are not stable, I almost fell from sitting on one. Also, the view is mostly roads/cars with a little bit of beach. You will not hear oceans if you open this door, you will hear cars and honking and yelling at night.
Area: right by Waikiki and Honolulu, can definitely walk to everything around there easily. Lots of food trucks/restaurants/shopping near-by. In order to park near the hotel, you must pay 30/day through a link they will send you OR do street parking for free which is still close enough to walk - definitely recommend doing the free parking, the walk was easy!
Amenities: fridge/freezer is full size which is great! The sink is nice, too and they do give you some dressers if you want to unload your clothes - there is definitely not enough space to open your suitcases and leave them open and walk around.

This place was right across from the Honolulu zoo and aquarium and right across from the best beach that was secured in for swimming. Everything was just within walking distance. The front desk people were very helpful and very knowledgeable. There was a local tour operators there for site seeing and Chip was great at introducing the perfect snorkelling tour and Lu’ue dancing and our last night we had the most perfect Sunset cruise dinner, which was the icing on the cake. Everything was wonderful from the start to finish. Thank you guys at The Waikiki Grand
