The Kona Shores condominium complex has an ocean-front pool with a cabana, two bathrooms and a charcoal grill for barbecuing. It is the perfect location to hang out and soak up the Hawaii sun and watch the gorgeous Kona sunsets. You can possibly spot the famous 'Green Flash” at sunset as the sun sets behind the horizon. The Kona Shores is a popular location for visitors due to its close proximity to beaches and to the heart of Kailua-Kona with restaurants and shopping right along the water’s edge. Some of the activities you can find on the Kona Coast include beaches, luau’s, farmer’s markets, art galleries, jewelry shops, restaurants, boating, snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, boogie boarding, and deep sea fishing; just about every water sport you can think of! There are also several great golf courses nearby. With so much to do this condo makes a perfect home base to relax after all of your vacation adventures or you can just have a relaxing day lounging by the pool.
There are rent-able bikes available across the street from Kona Shores. There is an assigned parking space and laundry facilities that are compatible with the PayRange laundry facility app.

When I pulled into the parking area, I was disappointed. It reminded me of dumpy college apartments. Fortunately, the inside was better although not like the photo you're displaying. The lamps, wall artwork, bedspread, etc., all have been changed. In Hawaii, it's respectful to take off your shoes before entering. You had no sign asking guests to do so (though I took the initiative and left my shoes outside). There also were rules about smoking on the property. Yet I repeatedly smelled a stinky cigar, even early morning from my lanai. Doesn't make for a good experience. When I entered, there was elevator music playing from the TV. Out of the 5 remotes, I had a tough time figuring out what shut off the sound. Does a guest really need 5 remotes, none of which seemed to control the TV? Please follow the KISS principle. There also was mold growing in the bathtub grout. I've stayed at several properties along Ali'i Drive, and I won't be staying here again.

Happy we stayed here during our stay in Hawaii. It was very hot so the A/C was a blessing. The space was nice, and the kitchen was well stocked with plates/utensils that we used. Access to the pool was great too. The dedicated parking spot (for one car) was wonderful. We would stay here again and encourage others to as well.

it was conveniently located.comfortable, although the first, we were disappointed that the sheets had been washed with tissue paper and there were Tissue remnants all over the bottom sheet.we called the Mgt company & the sheets were changed the next day.The rest of our stay was pleasant.

This property exceeded all expectations of me and my wife. It was tastefully decorated, well equipped, and had all the items needed to go to the beach, including chairs, snorkels, beach towels, etc. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the big island of Hawaii.

Check-in was easy, the property was full of people, but very quiet at alltimes of the day, the pool and rec area were beautifully kept and accessable, and the complex is righ across the street from a bike HI docking station for easy access. If you're doing laundry, bring some quarters. Oh, yes, the communication from the property manager from the booking of the unit, until we left was superior to anything we've ever experienced. Instructions were clear, detailed and useful.
